By day, he's a business-news editor in Jersey City, N.J. Meanwhile, and on his way there, Buccino's casual essays have appeared in numerous publications including New Jersey Monthly, Italian Tribune, Herald News, and New Jersey Federated Sportsmen. The author attended Montclair State College in the 1970s. He was editor of the Belleville Times in 1990, and later (1996-1998) managing editor of the Belleville Post, Nutley Journal, The Independent Press of Bloomfield and The Glen Ridge Paper.

ANTHONY BUCCINO has published thirteen books including these poetry collections: Canned, Yountakah Country, Retrieving Labrador Days, Sixteen Inches On Center, AMERICAN BOY: Pushing Sixty, Voices On The Bus and One Morning In Jersey City.

His other books are Rambling Round, Sister Dressed Me Funny and A Father's Place.

He has written three books about local military history: Belleville Sons Honor Roll, Nutley Sons Honor Roll and Belleville and Nutley in the Civil War.

All his titles are available in print and on Kindle.

The poetry editors for Volume 55 of U.S. 1 Worksheets, Betty Lies, Linda Arntzenius and Wanda Praisner have nominated Anthony Buccino's poem At The Vet for the Pushcart Prize.

His poem Something Tells Me You Went To Catholic School was awarded Honorable Mention in the 2010 Allen Ginsberg Poetry Awards. Hands In Socks was named Editor's Choice in the 2008 Allen Ginsberg Awards. Ten Minutes earned Honorable Mention in the 2009 Allen Ginsberg Awards.

His work has been published in Paterson Literary Review; Celebrating William Carlos Williams and The Poetry of Place: North Jersey in Poetry; Rattlesnake Review (Poetry With Fangs); Medusa's Kitchen; Voices in Italian Americana; Edison Literary Review; Journal of New Jersey Poets; CHEST, the Journal of the American College of Chest Physicians; The Idiom; MEWS; Raving Dove; More Sweet Lemons; The Poem Factory; and PowWow Review.

His first poetry chapbook, Days You Knew Me, was published in 1976.
Buccino has written three books of essays based in and around Nutley and Belleville, N.J. He published two biographies of the men from his home towns who died while in service.

His personal essays earned him the nickname ''New Jersey's 'Garrison Keillor' or something to that effect." He is a contributing writer at NJ Voices and writes about transit in New Jersey, both at NJ.Com.

Buccino has been published in New Jersey Monthly, The Wall Street Journal, the Passaic Herald News, New Jersey Federated Sportsmen, Italian Tribune, Behind The Lines and other publications. He served as editor at New Jersey Motor Truck Association, a state trade association, Beauty & Barber Supply Institute, a national trade association, and of Modern Food Service Magazine, a regional magazine.

He is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, New Jersey Chapter. The author attended Montclair State College where he majored in English and minored in journalism. Buccino is a financial news editor in New York City.
