An adequate summary,
By Doug (South Bend, IN USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fatigue Design: Life Expectancy of Machine Parts (Hardcover)
This book is one of a couple dozen in our department library. There are no surprises, no exceptional explanations, no particularly interesting examples. If we hadn't bought the book, there would have been no great loss. The new edition of Metal Fatigue in Engineering is better, and so was the original. The introductory books by Bannantine, Suresh or Dowling are all more valuable to the stress engineers in our group. I would recommend any of those before this.
