fats Waller: The Cheerful Little Earful
I obtained this book for my husband who is "trad jazz" buff. He has not gotten to it yet, nor have I, but from all appearances it is a great book.

Standard Jazz Biopic
Like most jazz biographies it is a summary of recording dates and performances. It is interspersed with quotations from some of the people who performed with Fats. There is little on the personal relations of Fats with his friends or even about his trips to Europe. I did enjoy the photos in the book. Far better and personal is the book by Ed Kirkeby - "Ain't...
