Great buy,

I was having great difficulty locating a brass,(there are lots of chrome, but brass is hard to find), hand shower in retail stores; then I found that Amazon carried this one. It's been terrific (once I figured out how to attach it...it was easy once I had the correct tools to remove the leaking old one!). It has several different strengths of spray and is quite manageable for such a low price.. I can highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hand shower.

It's been a bit trying to find hand-showers in bright brass over the past few years that were not so expensive. When I saw this one with an additional 15% off, I decided to give it a shot. Installation was less than 10 min. and very easy. The water spray has thicker streams than the one I replaced which is nice but the flow is not as strong (but is adequate). I'm sure the flow rating is meant to conserve water. The massage setting is nothing special, just a narrow and higher force stream of water. It suits my needs for an economical bright brass hand shower.

Plastic mounting & flow restrictor that is a pain,

This review is from: Delta Faucet Faucet 75520RB Five-Spray Hand Shower, Venetian Bronze (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this one only because of the "brushed oil" finish that is throughout all of our new house. The price is reasonable and the hand shower is okay, maybe slightly above average. The only negatives that I can think of are:
1) Don't expect to be able to change the massage settings easily. We only use it on one setting (simply as a removable regular shower head so that my wife could wash herself), so this is not an issue for us, but be aware of this before you buy. 2) The construction is all plastic in spite of the metal-looking finish. I don't expect it to last very long. To be honest, I expected most of the product to be metal based on the pictures and the price. 3) In spite of what the manual says (that the flow restrictor is an integral part of the backflow prevention device that is integrated into the hose), the actual restrictor is in fact in the usual place, not inside the hose. The restrictor is right behind the particle screen inside the hand shower head itself if you look at the end of the handle where it attaches to the hose. So it can be modified (or removed) relatively easily with some tools if you are a handyman, you know what you are doing and what the consequences will be and if your wife complains that she cannot wash her hair with the standard low flow :-) I will buy several more of these heads for the remaining bathrooms in our house.
