5.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable, but make sure you get the XL version.
This chair is extremely comfortable and very well-made. The construction is solid and the frame is powder-coated for durability. The wrapped cord that binds the sling to the frame seems strong, but be aware that the instructions suggest replacement of that cord every 2 years, and that part is not covered under their warranty.

2.0 out of 5 stars Comfotable but very squeaky
I've owned this chair and the optional side tray for about two months. I am 5'3" and the standard size is perfect. Also find the side tray to be exceptionally useful.

At first it was very quiet, but now it squeaks loudly every time I move or adjust position. I've taken care of it and it just shouldn't be so noisy.

This chair is extremely comfortable and very well-made. The construction is solid and the frame is powder-coated for durability. The wrapped cord that binds the sling to the frame seems strong, but be aware that the instructions suggest replacement of that cord every 2 years, and that part is not covered under their warranty.

It has a locking mechanism under both armrests, so you can recline into the position you want and flip the levers. These seem strong and well-made; they are not difficult to move into locked or unlocked positions; I like also that they can move either direction to lock it (center is unlocked).

The headrest is attached with a nice cloth-wrapped elastic band so it can be moved to fit the user's height, or even be used behind the lumbar spine.

My only concern is how well the padded version (which I bought) will do if the chair gets rained on; the instructions say to bring it under shelter in inclement weather, but let's face it -- you can go to work on a sunny day and it can rain in the afternoon. The only real solution would be to bring it in any time you're not using it, but that's not completely realistic or convenient. So we'll see, over time, how that padding does.

I bought the wineberry colored recliner and the color is very nice and rich, not overly bright.

Also, I bought the XL version. I highly recommend doing so, even if you're not over 6 feet tall. I am 5'7" and the chair is perfect for me. The extra width means you can be comfortable, without the armrests touching you.

I highly recommend this chair.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheezy pattern, but oh-so-comfortable!, May 16, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This chair has been tested and approved by 4 members of my family, all different sizes and shapes. We love it! The wineberry pattern leaves something to be desired, but the shade of red is nice, and the padding on the chair and head is awesome. We bought the standard size, and it worked for all of us. The reclining mechanism takes a little getting used to, but is very easy once you get the hang of it.

I'm hoping this doesn't mean the locking mechanism is wearing out--it still seems to be holding firm but time will tell.

2.0 out of 5 stars Padded recliner, September 28, 2010

While I generally loved this chair, I was dissappointed that the elastic braces holding the padding to the metal frame snapped just a few weeks after receiving it. It would be helpful when paying a great deal for a product to have "replacement" parts incase mishaps happen.
