I discovered this artist through an internet radio station, and I have been in love with his voice ever since.
This music is like whole wheat bread, it is good for you!
I look forward to many more albums from this amazing artist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, September 17, 2004
This review is from: Fault Lines (Audio CD)
One of the best albums I've heard in a while. Syd's songwriting has matured and developed into a fantastic folk-rock blend over the past 2 years, since the release of his first album Weak Days Week Knees. Poetic lyrics, thrilling guitarwork, and a full, rich overall sound make this album an experience of art.

5.0 out of 5 stars Acoustic-Driven and Amazing, September 17, 2004
This review is from: Fault Lines (Audio CD)
As far as music goes, the Northeast states in the U.S. can sure crank out some talent. There's a sound brewing under the surface up there that might soon catch on and take off. If you follow the singer-songwriter genre at all and are looking for good acoustic-driven stuff, then this cd is certainly one you do not want to miss. Syd's newest offering, "Fault Lines" comes straight out of New England with a fever that everyone should want to catch. This cd is packed full of great tunes that are just teetering on the edge of "the next big thing" waiting to fall into radio airplay. All of the songs are instantly accessible and stick in your head long after you've heard them, but aren't the typical shallow "pop" fare that so many people crank out these days. What keeps this album amazing, it's the layering of complex and heartfelt lyrics over a simplistic sound that is anything but simple.

Overall, this is a good, solid effort from Syd that is destined to be worn out in your cd player.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Than Coffeehouse Music, September 1, 2004
This review is from: Fault Lines (Audio CD)
Overall, album is very good. Good balance of lyrics and musical hooks with some snappy tunes like Dreams. All I Know and The Bottom are great story tunes that describe snipits of life that most anyone can relate too. A definate buy for any collection.

This CD is AMAZING. Along the lines of a John Mayer or Jack Johnson, but Syd's music is definitely original. Some tracks are a bit faster, or if you like to slow it down you'll love "Back Home."

Also check out his first album, Week Days Weak Knees...its a good one :)
