It's obvious that the quality is the usual cheap plastic that you usually see imported from China (not sure they are, but I'd be willing to bet). But, it is a lot of fun and those arrows fly faster and farther than you'd expect! The boys were laughing so hard and having such a blast that I wished I had gotten 2 or 3 of the bows. At least until the plastic thing breaks, they'll have a great time.

These are basically thin plastic tubes with stickers falling off. The "wings" of the arrows are made of thin plastic and are deformed. so cheaply made.

The kids played with these for about 2 days before they bent out of shape and wouldn't fly straight anymore. Wish I had saved my money!

Our 6-yr old picked up a Faux Bow from a garage sale for a dollar. We had never heard of Faux Bow and that, "What a waste of a buck." But the boys was happy pretending to shoot arrows from his Faux Bow. Then I had this crazy idea of searching Faux Bow on Amazon. And to my amazement there they were...arrows specifically for the Faux Bow. For the price and free shipping with Amazon Prime, we had to give them a try. The purchase of the arrows turned what we thought was a junk toy into one of his favorite toys. He had so much fun launching those arrows. They're light, they're plastic and they don't seem real durable. But out little guy was shooting those things about 100+ feet. And they held up well with the first 30 minutes of play. With the amount of fun he was having, it was well worth the price. It's best to have a lot of space to shoot these. Otherwise you may lose a few over fences. Have fun.

The Faux Bow ships with 3 arrows and a "quiver" to hold them. 3 arrows is passable but is really not enough! Buy this add-on to go with it if you can spare the cash and it makes the Faux Bow more fun because:

a. More time between reloads (collecting arrows from all over the yard)

b. Still have some arrows left after some of them sail over the fence or on to the roof

In fact, it would be great if they would sell a 100-pack of these arrows so you could sit in the patio chairs and aim at things all over the yard, limiting the need to get up to when you need a refill on your mint julep (or other beverage of choice). Until then, get this extra 6-pack and triple the fun.

5-star rating is for the value of increasing the fun factor of the Faux Bow.

I ordered three packages of these (15 total) to use around the office.

These darts do not fly at all. Somehow the weight balance and shape of these things make the darts fly horribly. We can get better distance throwing paper balls then these things.

The Foam Head was promising, but the shaft is a very thin plastic and the tail "feathers" are badly designed plastic also. The feathers do not help to keep the dart straight nor help with spin (which wasn't something I was looking for, but it still doesn't help the dart to fly).

If I could, i would return this garbage.

I bought the bow and the arrows for my 8 year old who wanted a "real" bow and arrow set for Christmas. I thought the Faux Bow and Arrows would keep us from having an emergency room visit on Christmas Day. It was a hit even with my older children. They were all taking turns target practicing and they have gotten pretty good at hitting their target (usually some evil creature they drew on the dry erase board ;)
It's definitely not a "real" bow and arrow set, but it is a very fun toy.

We bought this for my nephew who really wanted a bow and arrow, but given the fact that he's only 5 years old, this seemed like a safe compromise. He loves it! The arrows are light weight (perfect for a 5 year old to handle), durable, easy to load, and shoot really far. We bought the bow and arrow, as well as a bulls eye target, and he loved them!

I wanted to like these but they just don't shoot straight and the kids were just getting frustrated. We try to aim we really do but more often than not these arrows just do their own thing and go off in another direction. We've since bought the Air HunterZ line and everyone is really happy and they are just as safe to use.

My son bought my grandson this bow for Christmas last year. My grandson still uses it a year later. Replaced some of the arrows here on amazon and he uses it like crazy. Not like some gifts where they are done playing in the hour. Thanks!
