I purchased Tete's first album L'air d rien, and loved it. This new album is, with out question, just as good, if not better than his first. Its a great mix of darker and lighter songs that displays Tete's growth as a musician and song writer. The whole tone of the album is more mature and emotional that the last alum. However, Tete still is able to knock out songs that keep your feet tapping. I don't think Tete can be so easily delegated to the position of "The French Ben Harper." Tete's style is so unique and particular that he belongs in a class byhimself, and this album proves it.

He's amazing-he really, really is. I first heard Tété at a concert in France and he's been my French Jack Johnson ever since. His other album, "l'air de rien", is also quite good, but if you're going to start with one album, pick this one.

Great vocals (French language w/ Senegalese accent) and guitar make Tété an excellent musician. I consider this album a real improvement over L'Air du Rien: the songs are shorter and punchier, and cover a wider range of tones and styles. If you're a Tété fan, or just interested in contemporary French music, this is a must for your collection.

never a disappointment when it comes to an album delivered by Tété, his voice and his melodies are all too soothing

This is an exquisite CD. The seamless transitions between songs make the album flow gracefully. The voice is sparkling and genuine, and the level of musicianship is refreshing.

Innovative, new, imaginative... Tété Niang has a smooth voice that penetrates deep into the curves of one's heart. His melodies are intoxicating, his lyrics are meaningful... he is simply talented. This album is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
