When Sierra opens her letter she finds her father had advised her to take risks and to trust herself. She'd always been a dreamer, never one to gamble or take risks. She got her her Ph.D and teaches at Georgetown. She does research. She's writing a book. She looks at life like a scholar, doesn't really live it. Then one day on the way to the Blue Pepper, a popular Georgetown bistro to meet her sisters, she is almost knocked over at the bar and is saved by Ryder Kane, ex-special forces, currently owner of Kane Management, a security systems business.

Sierra had decided that it was time to make a few changes in her life, to start living it for a change. She was going to try speed dating, Ryder finds out and wants an interview. She meets with Ryder, decides he's the best there is, Ryder asks her to do him a favor and it winds up putting her in deep danger. Someone tries to kill her and now Ryder wants to be her bodyguard. Did I forget to mention that sexy sparks are flying back and forth all this time in the dreamy, steamy story. If ever there was a cat's meow of sexy stories, this is it. You'll just love this book. I know I did.
