Burton Stories Included in this volume: Sinbad the Seaman and Sinbad the Landsman The First Voyage of Sinbad The Second Voyage of Sinbad The Third Voyage of Sinbad The Fourth Voyage of Sinbad The Fifth Voyage of Sinbad The Sixth Voyage of Sinbad The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad Aladdin or the Wonderful Lamp Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves The Fisherman and the Jinni The Tale of the Ensorcelled Prince Judar and his Brethren Khalifah the Fisherman of Baghdad I didn't have a huge complaint about the translation, but I did find that the book was occasionally not-quite-easy-to read. This is because the print stretches all the way to the margins, so I had to pretty much flatten the book to read it. This is an interesting collection of stories and I'm not sorry that I purchased it; it's a great addition to my library. I mark this 4 Stars for "Entertainment Value." Edit: When I got this book, it was $3 regular price (i.e., not discounted at all). Not sure if I'd have paid $6.95 for it. Yikes. It hasn't even been a month. |
