5.0 out of 5 stars Wanna be a quickie gourmet cook?!
I've had this cookbook for four years, and it's amazing. I've learned to make so many quick and yet delicious things with this cookbook, it's a staple in my house! I recently let a family member borrow it and she didn't want to give it back, so now I'm buying one for her! The dessert section is especially great for quickie desserts...this family member used it to make...

1.0 out of 5 stars horrible, highly processed dishes
I should have known that there is catch in preparing dishes with only four ingredients--use highly processed canned goods. Yuck!!! I've prepared five dishes and all of them were inedible. My kids would not touch them. All the dishes smell like they came out of a truly horrible, hole in the wall diner. The dishes are quick and easy but gourmet???? There is nothing...

I recently let a family member borrow it and she didn't want to give it back, so now I'm buying one for her! The dessert section is especially great for quickie desserts...this family member used it to make a lot of little desserts for a baby shower! If you could just have one cookbook, this should definitely be it!

5.0 out of 5 stars EASY TO PREPARE - AND CAN BE QUITE HEALTHY!, April 11, 2008
This review is from: Favorite Brand Name 4 Ingredient Cookbook (Hardcover)
I LOVE the book! With the exception of this book, I don't cook using recipes. If you want fresh, healthy and no processed food...choose some of their recipes that only include fresh produce and ingredients.

Lots of choices...and I have many of the ingredients in my house already!

Two thumbs up.

Unfortunately, I noticed one individual reviewed the book and said that there are many highly processed meals. However, there are also MANY meals that suggest fresh fruits, fresh veggies, salmon, fresh herbs, etc. and don't have the processed food.

I love it ! Now that there are just the two of us at home, this makes meals so much easier. I always seem to have the right ingredients on hand when I go to do these recipes. Makes me wonder what took me so long to buy this book.

Loved the book and found many good recipes. Just one problem my favorite chapter (cookies) was torn out I mean the whole section. Whoever did that couldn't write the recipes they liked?

This review is from: Favorite Brand Name 4 Ingredient Cookbook (Hardcover)
This cookbook lives up to its name, as well as its subtitle fast & easy recipes. There are ALOT of great recipes in this book. I have actually borrowed alot of cookbooks from the library & this cookbook was a MUST buy! Unlike some cookbooks where you may find limited recipes appealing, this cookbook has many, many simple & great tasting recipes. Highly recommended! This is now my go-to cookbook.

There is nothing sophisticated about these dishes.

If you like preparing dishes in a flash and you like the taste of canned goods, then this is the cookbook for you. If you want a little more sophistication in your meals, you need to use fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, etc. If you like food that taste like it has been sitting at a diner for a week, then this cookbook is excellent. Do your heart and body and palate a favor and stay away from this cookbook.
