Sing praise to The Lord! This is a wonderful book! Many of the classic hymns and easy sheet music. You can't help but "make a joyful noise!"

Great Selection and Good Arrangements,

A few times a year I play the piano for church services and was looking for a good book for preludes, offertories, postludes, etc. My music teacher lent me this book and I was really impressed for a number of reasons. First, there is a great selection of hymns. I was raised Baptist, I play in an ensemble in a Lutheran church, and I play for services in a Methodist church and with this book I would have songs that are commonly sang in all three churches. Next, the arrangements are not especially difficult. Some are pretty basic, but with chord symbols, so you can always do some improvisation and make it sound a little fuller. Some arrangements I think are gorgeous on their own. Some of the keys of these hymns are different than what is in a standard hymnal, so watch out for that. And they are actual arrangements, not just a hymnal with SATB chords. I am buying one for myself and I'm sure I will get tons of use out of it.
