The list author says: "I wanted to create a list that would help others with similar likes and expectations. At first I wanted it to be only about the absolute best dramas without too much "soapiness" but really I've discovered that some of the most silly dramas still sit well in my long term appreciation because the actor and storyline tug at my heart even as my mind says; "this is ridiculous" I also want to include the real stinkers to help you not waste your time."
"One of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. I thought the female lead did a beautiful job of portraying a boy and Gong Yoo was just heart-wrenchingly awesome in his lead role. I have watched this movie multiple times and never get bored with the romance. =)"
"This movie was both sweet and funny! I found myself laughing a lot at this relationship, what I really liked is that they never broke up or had a misunderstanding, their relationship continued to bloom and grow."
"This definitely found its way to my top five favorite Korean Dramas. The story is engaging and not too over the top, no one gets hit by a car or almost drowns, chemistry is awesome and I really love a good ending."
"Okay, this is a drama that has so much conflict, near death experiences, misunderstandings and heartache that it should be classified as ridiculous... but... I love it against all my taste and better judgment. Lee Min Ho is such a good and endearing actor and although I kept intending to stop, I continued to watch it through to the end with no regrets. It was oddly addictive."
"First, I love Jang Geun Suk. Second, I actually enjoyed this drama to a point, but it was difficult to completely commit because the girl who played the boy would NEVER have been mistaken for a boy. She didn't even try. That point just made the movie a little disappointingly stupid."
"This one grew on me. It didn't catch me at first but it definitely grew on me. I think the most difficult part of this drama is that it's 28 episodes... meaning 28 hours. I did appreciate the fact that once he grew to care for her, his opinion never changed, lies never swayed his devotion."
"I really wanted to like this as much as everyone else because I love the lead actors individually but honestly Sam-soon's voice was just TOO shrill and whiny, I had a hard time liking her. I would recommend City Hall over this drama.. and the ending leaves something to be desired. I didn't dislike this drama, it just wasn't that great."
"I found this movie enjoyable. It wasn't a favorite but it wasn't bad. My only real complaint is that she remained friends with the couple who stole her home and belongings. I didn't want to see them at all and every time I did it irked me."
"I really don't understand why this drama is so well loved. The acting was childish and not very romantic at all. To be honest I watched it less than 5 months ago and I barely remember it. Forgettable."
"What? I won't even get into why I hate this movie, in case you decide to watch it, but let me warn you that the ending was sooo stupid I couldn't even lie to myself to make it better... that from a major Gong Yoo fan."
"Some Korean Dramas start out with so much promise and then just fizzle up and die at the end... this was one of them. The heartbreak part dragged on and on and honestly it didn't make enough sense for me and so I started to loathe the grandpa and got sick of everyone. I think when you invest over 16 hours into a movie viewing, you should be satisfied with the end most of all. I wasn't."
