The author has put together 35 years of winning recipes from The Wichita Eagle in one nicely organized spiral-bound volume, jam-packed with comfort food and dinnertime nostalgia. Even just the titles of some of the dishes are intriguing: Go-Go Cocktail (1967), Little Chicago Salsa (1989), Big Spoon Potato-Cheese Soup (1963), Slim Jim Baked Chicken (1978), Teen Bean Bake (1958), Kansas Slaw (1971), Family Reunion Buns (1982), Blender Pop-Up Bread (1975), Sunshine in a Pocket (1987), Phony Spumoni (1978) . . . .
