Great music, BUT better to get a hits album than this hodge podge selection., September 9, 2010

Bobby Vee has some great music and some great "Hits" c.d.s.
But THIS c.d. with only 6 hits among these 10 songs really dosen't offer much.
Vee had 38 songs chart from 1959 to 1970, 14 of them made the top fourty.
So this C.D. only leaves you wanting more.
The hits are --
1. "Take good care of my baby", 1961 top ten.
2. "Run to him", 1961 top ten.
3. "Devil or angel", 1960 top ten.
4. "More than I can say", 1961 top 100.
5. "The night has a thousand eyes", 1962 top ten.
6. "Do what you gotta do", 1968 top 100.
The other 4 tracks are some of his original album cuts,
and are "covers" of other artists hits:
7. "Earth angel"
8. "Happy happy birthday baby"
9. "Peggy Sue"
10. "Go away little girl".
All original recordings from EMI Records in 1996.
Footnote: If your a Bobby Vee fan you might like
"Bobby Vee, The Singles Collection".
This extremly well priced, 95 track, 3 disc compilation
contains every A and B side of all of Bobby Vee's 38 charted songs.
Both of these items are great collections of all original recordings that sound great.
