This review is from: Favourite Hymns: We Learned at School (Paperback)
This book includes the words to hymns that the author sang at school while growing up in the west of Ireland in the 1950's. The back cover says, "The Catholic Church, especially in Ireland, has an unrivalled tradition of popular hymns linked to religous fests and devotion - in particular to Our Lady - as well as to the liturgy of Mass and Benediction." It seems to be primarily written as a nostalgic book for others who went to school in Ireland many years ago. The introduction says "I hope you enjoy reading again the hymns you learned at school." Note that this book has lyrics, words only: no music.
