Now see me..., February 8, 2001
This review is from: Fear of a Black Hat: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
Whether you sport a fedora, a babushka or some Horton hears a Who type lid, this CD has something for you: phat beats (My Peanuts), dope rhymes (Grab Yo Stuff), smooth lyrical prowress (White Cops on Dope) and social consciousness (Come and Pet the P.U.S.S.Y.). Just look at some other song titles: Wear Yo Hat (Buried and Bald), F@#$ the Security Guards, Booty Juice. The words speak to me on a very intimite level. This CD changed my life. I agree with Eddie about the necessity of seeing this movie. It should be required viewing for anyone who owns a rap album. In fact, they should make a sequal to this landmark film. With people like Puffy, Eminem and Will Smith dominating the charts, there are countless possibilities for lampooning. Buy the CD. Listen to the CD. Love the CD.

Thank you Larry Robinson..., October 24, 2000

Lyrical genius Rusty Cundieff's masterpiece is finally available again. I've been waiting 5 years for the re-release of this CD today, and I've not been disappointed. Full versions of all of the hit songs from Fear of a Black Hat. If you thought the bits you heard in the movie were dope, wait until you hear the whole album!

Its Impossible to Overrate this CD, November 28, 2000
This review is from: Fear of a Black Hat: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Audio CD)
You really need to see this movie. Once you've seen the videos and can understand the beauty of Tasty-Taste ripping on LL Cool J, then you're ready to appreciate this CD. All the songs (even the optional one from the movie's opening that isn't no my copy of the tape) from the movie are here, with a few okay additionals like White Cops of Dope. And, if you were wondering, it comes with the lyrics, so you can impress your friends by busting into 'My Peanuts' at parties. Or, like me, you can keep your coworkers away by doing the same.
