Best Bible Study I've ever done, February 26, 2010
This review is from: The Fear Factor - What Satan Doesn't Want You to Know (Paperback)
This book has been a huge source of encouragement and edification. The Macks use the Bible to present a Gospel centered view on fear. Some of the many things I learned from this book:
-I realized that in one area of my life where I was refusing to submit to the Lord it was really based in fear. I was afraid that my obedience would not be rewarded so therefore I didn't want to obey. Oh man, I am such a sinner!
-The book discussed my tendency to fear about the future. Often I ask myself, "How am I going to handle that?" Or "What if that happens to me?"
-Explained the difference between fear of God, natural fear and sinful fear.
-Acknowledge that there is much to be afraid of in this world, but how you deal with it is what matters. Putting on a smile and lifting yourself up by the bootstraps and facing your fear isn't the answer.
-Helped me have an eternal perspective. This is probably having the biggest impact on me.
This book was a major blessing in my life.

Awesome and Invaluable Resource for Christians who struggle with worry, August 21, 2011
This review is from: The Fear Factor - What Satan Doesn't Want You to Know (Paperback)
As a believer who has often struggled with getting bogged down in the worries, fears, and anxieties of everyday living I was recently sent into a swamp of self-pity, self-doubt, anger, and worry over getting performance review on my job that was not very good. The Lord brought this book to my attention at just the right time, because my outlook was exceedingly gloomy and depressed over whether or not I might end up unemployed. Within the first two or three pages I felt the gloom beginning to lift and by the end of the first chapter I was on my knees crying tears of joy and relief in the Lord, praising Him for his marvelous encouragements in His Word. Wayne and Joshua Mack have done Christians a great service with this Bible-centered, wonderful study of what God has to tell His children about fear and worry. Simply put, God has made full provision for every one of His children to live a completely stress-free life. And not only does God provide this, He fully expects believers to live stress-free as an expression of their full faith and trust in Him. Praise God!! Thank you Macks for this book. It's incredible!

Buy It., December 21, 2008
This review is from: The Fear Factor - What Satan Doesn't Want You to Know (Paperback)
Why are you still reading this? Okay, okay. Wayne Mack is my favorite Biblical Counsellor, though they're almost all fantastic. Basically, buy this book if you're a human. Wayne Mack is wonderfully Biblical, very pastoral, incredibly insightful and offers amazing helps to people who struggle with fears (everyone, to some degree). If you want to live the Christian life and think you have any sort of ocd, panic disorders, insomnia, etc. you need to:
1. See medical professionals to determine if you have physiological problems.
2. Read every Wayne Mack book you can buy. The $300-400 you spend will change your life and the lives of everyone in your family. I'm serious. Sell your TV and use the funds to renew your mind.
