5.0 out of 5 stars It is a scary but great book!
The book Fear Hall written by R.L. Stine is a great book. Fear Hall is well written because it is an easy book to read and understand. R.L. Stine also writes other great books, but I think this one is the best. I think that Hope was one my favorite characters. She always kept her boyfriend from getting into trouble. Sometimes I disagree with what she does because I...

FEAR HALL:THE BEGINNING, by R.L. Stine is more for people who like to read suspense novels, but you also don't like to read alot. this book is also good for people that gets bored with books very easily , because this book gets straight to the point. The reason for me saying this is because in the book you you know what is going to happen before it even happens. One of the weaknsses that the book may have , and that is how the Author ends the book. It doesn't really have a good point to it. This book does have some strengths, and that is, it has good vocabulary, and easy to understand words. The reason for me thinking this is because their aren't any words that you get stuck on and decide that you don't wanna read the book anymore. The story is about the main character which is Hope, and her boyfriend Darryll. Hope is very fat, and her mom doesn't make it any better because she makes fun of her because of it. Her boyfriend Darryll has a bad temper and is very jealous. He resolves his problem by killing people. One of Hope's roommates wants to turn him in. See what happens in the end.

Sometimes I disagree with what she does because I think that Daryl (Hope's boyfriend) should leave college. Why? Daryl killed three people already because he mistakened Hope for someone else who was out with another guy. I do want to tell you more about the story, but I think you should read the book and find out what happens to the people staying at Fear Hall.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fear Hall Part 1, December 6, 2008
This review is from: Fear Hall: The Beginning (Fear Street, No. 46) (Part 1) (Paperback)
Fear Hall: The Beginning was great. Hope Mathis and her friends stay near Fear Hall. Fear Hall is a dormitory that is miles away from Shadyside. Lately, there have been mysterious murders happening near Fear Hall. This book was wonderful but the murders were gross. Using a baseball bat to rip out someone's ear is way too gross. In this book, you think you know thw killer but the ending will reveal who the killer really is.

R.L. Stine is a great writer. I loved this book. It had so much detail. I loved the part when Darryl killed Brandon because you got so into the book-it was like you were there. I also thought it was neat when, at the end, I found out why the 3 M's: Mary, Margie, and Meline all keep stareing at Hope. Your going to have to read the book to find out for yourself. One thing I didn't like is when Hope told Eden that her mom talked about how fat she was when really she was just a little bit overweight. However I would recommend this book to any R.L. Stine lover or anybody that really likes to get into this book. This is a very wonderful book and I can't wait to read the second book. I hope it is as good as the first!

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Special, January 24, 2004

This review is from: Fear Hall: The Beginning (Fear Street, No. 46) (Part 1) (Paperback)
I'm a big fan of the Fear Street series and it's author RL Stine but this book was not so good. I figured out the ending early on and even though it was sorta original I found the book to be boring...so boring in fact that I refuse to buy the second one. Trust me people it's a waste of money...If you choose to read it make sure you check it out of the library..

4.0 out of 5 stars fear hall=very good, August 6, 2000
This review is from: Fear Hall: The Beginning (Fear Street, No. 46) (Part 1) (Paperback)
the story is about Hope who lives in Fear Hall, she shares a room with some friends in here. She has got this terribly sick boyfriend who is jealous as hell. He basically kills everything that touches her (or that is what he thinks). But in the end all is not what it seems........This book was so original and exciting and gory sometimes. I only gave it four stars since I kinda figured out the ending in the middle of the story. But it still came as a complete shock to me. READ IT!
