It is sad that this sort of pseudoscientific quackery is promoted as "investigative journalism" and "well researched". These "opinions" kill millions of people, mainly in poor countries in Africa. Shame on you.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Dirty Business, September 6, 2008
This review is from: Fear of the Invisible (Paperback)
There will be much squirming and discomfiture in the hallowed halls of medical science when the truths in this book become more widely disseminated. From the frighteningly dirty (literally as well as figuratively) "scientific" methods that produce the state-mandated vaccines injected in increasing numbers into our innocent children, to the massive fraud perpetrated by the giant ego that is pseudologist Robert Gallo, this book will shock you - and rightly so. While many are well aware that Gallo narrowly escaped prosecution for scientific fraud over the "foundation" AIDS research, most are likely unfamiliar with the logistics and scope of this fraud. Ms. Roberts has provided the "smoking gun" in the form of copies of original documents that demonstrate unequivocally, exactly how this monstrous misdeed was perpetrated.
Ms. Roberts' journey begins with an earnest request from friends to discover whether a measles and rubella (MR) vaccine could have terribly damaged their precious child. With nothing more than a vague understanding of what constitutes viral illness she undertook to find out more about the science underlying virology and immunisation - a feat she has achieved to an astounding degree. What started as a small investigation into the MR vaccination campaign unfolded into a 10-year quest to try and discover why the large pachyderm is squatting in the front room making a large stinking mess while science pretends it's a necessary accoutrement in its selfless, seemingly Sisyphean, noble quest.
As a seasoned investigational journalist Roberts pits her wits and intelligent curiosity into dissecting a science (so inscrutable to the lay person that most would be led gibbering and screaming to a padded cell at the nearest mental facility) and emerges with a clear, factual account of the predominantly venal, self-serving science of virology.
The implications contained within this book are staggering. Large taxpayer-funded health institutions have been wantonly complicit in this patronising perfidy and accountability should be demanded from the upper (and lower) echelons of these organisations - their remit is purportedly safeguarding the health of the population, not conspiring to destroy it. The well-documented, reprehensible lack of concern about the contamination of vaccines, the propaganda and fear-mongering employed by these authorities and the impact on people's health, psyches and lives across the globe deserve thorough investigation, at the highest levels of government, and appropriate retributive measures need to be undertaken.
With meticulous detail, the execrable, pathetic "science" is unmasked, unfrocked and dethroned by Ms. Roberts' excellent investigation; the Emperor is as butt-naked as the day his umbilical cord was cut.

4.0 out of 5 stars Eye Opener!, July 28, 2008
This review is from: Fear of the Invisible (Paperback)
Though I do not claim to fully understand all that is written in this book It will take a couple of readings) but I learned a lot about the history of HIV, AIDS and the fraud surrounding these two possibly very separate subjects. I learned a lot about viruses, diseases and vaccines/vaccinations in general (and the fraud surrounding them)... There is a lot in this book that will surprise and shock a lot of people. It is very timely and up to date.

We all need to wake up and start asking a lot more questions. We cannot simply accept that those "experts" in "authority" are always being honest with us. They have been given too many incentives to lie for personal gain and greed. We have come to rely way too much on information being "given" to us without question. It can be painstaking and difficult, but today it is more important than ever that we do our own personal research.

I highly recommend this thoroughly researched book to anyone wanting to know more about HIV, AIDS, Vaccinations and Viruses. Janine Roberts looks at all the sides of the issue and comes up with some very interesting conclusions which are most likely closer to the truth than what we've been led to believe.

I also highly recommend this latest article on the subject by Clark Baker:

Janine Roberts has done a fantastic job! For a complete overview of HIV, plus extras, read this book today! She profiles the HIV/AIDS debacle with great accuracy, exposing the "scandal of the century", and the man at the root of it all, Robert Gallo, with shocking evidence and copies of hand-written forms.
A MUST READ for anyone seeking TRUTH!

A must read for every serious pro-health seeker. Provides valuable insight into the whole concept of anti-viral epidemology for those seeking answers about decisions on vaccinations, and anti-virus shots. Every parent should read this book, everyone who gets flu shots, etc. This book substantiates that what you don't know can surely harm you.

Will certainly make you stop and think before you take that pill/shot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scientific journalism in the 21st century: a new challenge to the HIV/AIDS paradigm, November 9, 2008
By
Bionate (Berlin, Germany) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fear of the Invisible (Paperback)
Today independent journalism emerges as a serious threat to shaky scientific paradigms because it undermines effectively the most important bulwark of the scientific and medical establishment: privileged knowledge.

Janine Roberts book on virology is nothing less than the true manifestation of a new scientific journalism. It is one of the most mindstretching and fascinating works deconstructing a "zeitgeisty" massive scientific paradigm. Roberts exposes the weakness of the paradigm with all advanced features of modern journalism which will hopefully become characteristic for journalism the global internet age:

- in depth review of international press and media coverage
- searching and reproducing classified scientific documents
- reviewing scientific literature and putting it into political and economic context
- reporting facts and experiences gathered from interviewing people working in key positions
- first hand coverage of scientific conferences
- changing the initial investigation hypothesis after unbiased analysis of contrary evidence
- sharing data with sophisticated internet communities and thereby creating public knowledge
- communicating with scientists and activists from several fields and connecting their ideas
- translating scientific controversy and irregularities into their legal implications
- to withstand personal attacks aiming to isolate the journalist and her work
- exposing attempts of high levels to hinder the investigation
- straight-forward language to give an insight into complex scientific theories and facts
- providing links to valuable internet resources and references and for further reading

I highly recommend this book. It's importance for those who are looking into the HIV/AIDS issue and virology as a whole cannot be overestimated. Janine Roberts work belongs to the forefront of the new 21st century scientific journalism on HIV/AIDS - together with books from authors like Henry Bauer, Michelle Cochrane, Rebecca Culshaw, Celia Farber, Christine Maggiore, Claus Köhnlein, Heinrich Kremer and Stefan Lanka just to name a few (err...a lot).

5.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening, September 20, 2008

Book & Music Lover (Louisville, Kentucky USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fear of the Invisible (Paperback)
Here is a good narrative of what our so called scientists, from the CDC, to the WHO are hiding from the citizens of the world. Did man deliberately create the AIDS virus? Do they the CDC, etc., know the truth about Autism? Are vaccines really effective, or are they worse than the illnesses they were created to combat?

All the answers are here in a very well written and presented doctrine of what really goes on behind the scenes as far as our so called war on disease. How in a great many cases we are the originator, or perpetrator of ilnesses. Though there are many sceintific terms contained here there is a very useful glossary presented here as well. Once you have read this book you will be both amazed, and angered at what there is an attempt to hide. The garbage in vaccines, and attempts to keep this information from public knowledge.

Then we are told how not all viruses are dangerous, but that we will in the near future have to redirect our focus to toxins instead, to get a handle on illness. A very easy read, but you likely will have to read this book more than once, and keep it around for reference purposes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible book, April 21, 2009
This review is from: Fear of the Invisible (Paperback)
This book is easy to read, yet thoroughly referenced and based in science.

Roberts covers a wide swath about the many problems with much of the medical research we've come to depend on for our health: from how vaccines are made and researched, to revealing documented laboratory fraud in the earliest days of AIDS research.

The most fascinating thing I've read in a long time is her description of viruses, especially retroviruses, as cellular messengers. It's a subject that deserves an entire book of its own as more becomes known.

If you want the skinny on how the health agencies have hidden knowledge about the trash they inject into our children, and call it "safe", this is the book to read. It's full of facts, dates, and names.

The author is a bit repetitive in asking the same rhetorical questions and making exclamations of horror for the facts she has uncovered. Except for that, I give her an A+ for thorough investigative reporting.

This should be a must-read for every family before they allow their children to be vaccinated.

5.0 out of 5 stars staggering revelations, April 24, 2011
This review is from: Fear of the Invisible (Paperback)
Are vaccines really effective, or are they worse than the illnesses they were created to combat? This book offers a thoroughly researched report on what really goes on behind the scenes of our so-called war on disease.

This seasoned investigative journalist takes us through her 10-year quest to find out more about the world of vaccines. With meticulous detail, the pathetic "science" involved is unmasked. Her clear, factual account of the predominantly venal, self-serving field of virology is repeatedly shocking (although not surprising, if you are already aware of the dangers of vaccination).

Those involved insist that viruses and retroviruses are dangerous even though no lab has ever been able to prove that any virus has ever caused any illness! (Yes, you read that correctly but have you considered the implications? Why on earth should world-wide authorities have continually threatened us, for so many decades, with dangers that don't actually exist and - worse - in the face of clear evidence to the contrary?) The HIV virus, for example, has NEVER been isolated in an AIDS patient.

The author quotes from papers that clearly show not only that our own cells are the parents of all viruses but that viruses "are not selfish, devious or invaders but primarily inert messages created [by our own cells] to travel between cells. This is the task our cells give them...Our [own] cells make them because they need them. They are important to our health."

Roberts discovered that retroviruses (viruses that replicate as part of the host cell's DNA) actually have ANTI-tumor (healing) effects. All based on research, she also writes: "Viruses have no metabolism so they cannot produce energy or eat. They have no nervous system, no sensory system, no intelligence that can facilitate any kind of invasion or the hi-jacking of a cell a billion times larger..." Also, it seems that cells must be "sick, poisoned, stressed or malnourished in some way before they show the symptoms of "viral infection".

Another book, "Dr, Mary's Monkey" by Edward T. Haslam, is a well-documented investigation, part of it into how the contaminated polio vaccine with which children in both the US and Europe were mass vaccinated from the 1950s created the cancer epidemic starting 30 years later - but only soft-tissue cancers like lung, breast, prostate, lymphoma and melanoma of the skin have skyrocketed. Curiously, that book blames viruses, but Haslam did not educate himself on viruses, as this author has, and it is likely that toxins in the vaccines encourage cancer, rather than the viruses themselves. The important point is that dirty vaccines are creating mayhem.

Roberts shows that viruses never "grow" as often claimed, since they are inert (dead). Toxins, rather than retroviruses, are most likely to be the causes of polio, AIDS, measles, mumps, flu and colds! What seems to happen is that, when cells are stressed and poisoned, they produce viruses to try to protect themselves. In fact, researchers have long known that the guaranteed way to make cells produce viruses in the lab, including flu and measles, is not primarily by getting them infected with a virus but by exposing them to stress and toxins. Indeed, it is likely that retroviruses are actually produced by our own cells as a defense against the toxins.

It seems that cells in lab cultures produce specific viruses in response to exposure to specific toxins. For instance, poor diet is now recognized as playing a major role in measles. Recent studies have found that 72 per cent of hospitalized measles cases in America are vitamin A deficient and the worse the deficiency the worse the complications and higher the death rate. Could severe measles be caused by a vitamin A deficiency rather than a virus?

If authorities have known all this (and how could they not, if an "amateur" researcher can), we must consider the foul implications of the continual and hysterical insistence on vaccinations, which are guaranteed to damage children. It is thanks to the wonderful immune system of humans that many - but not all - can repeatedly overcome such damage.

The book is full of well presented facts, dates, and names documenting the primitive laboratory methods and the deliberate concealing by the so-called "health" agencies of the frighteningly dirty vaccines injected into our children. Although there is no mention of the 2009 Swine Flu racket, as the book was first published in 2008, you will be amazed and angered at the century-long records of massive frauds, total lack of concern about the contamination of vaccines, and propaganda and fear-mongering employed by all authorities which altogether must amount to a conspiracy to destroy health across the globe (although the author herself avoids labeling it a conspiracy as she is keen to get this valuable information across without getting involved in the usual controversy that the word "conspiracy" arouses - despite the strong efforts employed to prevent her from publishing this book).

An important book.
