4.0 out of 5 stars Fun punk at it's very best
"Fear of a Punk Planet" by the Vandals is by all accounts a punk anthem and a definate classic. With funny songs and great guitar by Warren "Mutant Boy" Fitzgerald (whom's father is actually a rocket scientist), the Vandals pump alot of energy into this album and it shows when you listen the the fast-paced hilarious songs that the Vandals have...

3.0 out of 5 stars The Vandals find their footing
This is the album where th line-up stabilized for once and The Vandals headed into the goofy catchy punk they have been known for for the past decade. There are some absolutely great moments on here, notably Pizza Tran, Join Us For Pong, Summer Lovin' and Anti, but you must know there are some absolutely horrible moments on here as well. They were bad then, and they're...

With funny songs and great guitar by Warren "Mutant Boy" Fitzgerald (whom's father is actually a rocket scientist), the Vandals pump alot of energy into this album and it shows when you listen the the fast-paced hilarious songs that the Vandals have recorded. One of their first albums, a prelude to their 5+ other albums.

The Day Farrah Fawcett Died- Another funny song, fast! 10/10
Anti- Best on the album! 10/10

There are some absolutely great moments on here, notably Pizza Tran, Join Us For Pong, Summer Lovin' and Anti, but you must know there are some absolutely horrible moments on here as well. They were bad then, and they're worse now. I'm talking about "Do The Rog", "Hey Homes" and pretty much the rest of the album. I love the Vandals, but I am simply being completely honest. 50% brilliant, 50% awful.
Also, this is not one of their first albums. They had many others in the 80's with a different lineup. Joe Escalante is the only constant, and even he switched from drums to bass/lawyer.

4.0 out of 5 stars HILARIOUS punk CD!, November 22, 2002

This CD is a great punk disc. It's obvious the guys were young when this was written, but I think it's very good for their age/inexperience (with exception of Joe Escalante, who was in the original early '80's group of the same name)

Well, if you a punk lover of any kind (from crass-rancid) you'll love the vandals, and if you dont... you dont like punk.(i like it, but im not one) So if you dont have it, get it, if you have it, i dont know get another copy from their website (vandals.com) (not here, i think its cheaper there)
