This is another GREAT record from DKD...Sharp Teeth still has a place as my favorite...but Fear of Flying is a close second. Tremendous release all around. Beautiful songwriting and lyrics, awesome arrangements, couldn't ask for more. If I had to relate it to something for those who haven't heard David Karsten Daniels....the simplist way that I can put it is maybe Will Oldham meets certain aspects of Wilco...but...that doesnt do it justice.

Standout tracks for me are "Oh, Heaven Isn't Real" (which seems to play over and over in my head alllll day since the day I heard it) and "In My Child Mind You Were A Lion" (7+ minute song...good from beginning to end). But the album as a whole is a wonderful piece of work...
