It's amazing what you don't learn about historical people you study "forever." I never knew Capt. Smith fought the spread of Islam into Europe, was captured, enslaved & escaped. There was a reason he was a leader of the Jamestown Colony. A great (& easy) read to inform you of what Smith did before he immigrated.
