Book Description

Travelers' Tales Guides January 7, 2000
Travelers' Tales: Love & Romance will be released in January 1998 -- just in time for setting up displays for Valentine's Day in February. To help promote this title, along with the rest of our Travelers' Tales titles, we've put together a special program to help drive customers to your stores. It is similar to the Frequent Buyer Program for our technical books where booksellers participate by purchasing a minimum quandty of books and we list your store in a flyer sent to our customer list. Customers purchase any ten O'Reilly titles, send us their receipts along with a completed Frequent Buyer Card, and receive a free book. The Travelers' Tales promotion is the same except instead of a free book, they'll receive a free Travelers' Tales Armchair Adventure T-shirt.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big "Little" Book for Foodies that love to Travel!, November 11, 2007

This review is from: The Fearless Diner: Travel Tips and Wisdom for Eating Around the World (Paperback)
The Fearless Diner features "travel tips and wisdom for eating around the world". Richard Sterling takes us all over the globe and lets us in on the best culinary delights there are. The "Holy Trinity of Cusine" is China, India and The West..each has a section devoted to the best food in each place. There is also a "manners" section so you can be prepared to show off your politeness where ever you may roam. The strange, wonderful and taboo section features gross and unusual food. The "be prepared" section has fun tips such as "bring your own hot sauce" and "take tupperware".
This book is small, can fit in your flight bag and makes a fun gift for anyone taking on an adventure.

Picked this book up as a quickie read and found it to be a delight. Can't say that I would be quite as adventuress but I had a delightful time reading about the authors adventures. I will be reading another of this type of book.

Great book! Short, but fun and interesting. A brief cultural and culinary tour of places most of us will never experince firsthand. Well worth it!
