Book Description

Eden Matthew's world is in shambles. Her grandfather viciously murdered, her twin brother held without magic, and her best friends imprisoned, all at the hands of the one man that was supposed to love her for eternity. She has been betrayed, and now she is being hunted by a king that wants her dead.

Eden must pick up the pieces of her life and stand alone against the tyranny that threatens to destroy her world. Alone she must find a way to rebuild the Resistance, locate her missing parents, save her loved ones and take down the monarchy.

Everything is against her, including forbidden feelings of a love that she thought was buried. She has declared war and now stands on the precipice of defeat. Losing is not an option however, and Eden must find a way to overcome her emotions, fight through her pain and restore the magic to her kingdom. Fearless Magic is the third installment of The Star-Crossed Series.

Rachel- I love the dialogue you have written and the characters you've made us love. Who knew that I'd actually like Sebastian after the last book? This is a stunning series that I can absolutely see as movies. You rock!  -- J. Sterling, Author of The Perfect Game

I'm giving this book a 5 because I love this author. The series is great as well and takes you emotionally from pillar to post! The only problem with writers who can evoke all these emotions is that you simply must have the "soul mates" end up together in the end and the entire book wrap up with the end of oppression- the "Hollywood Ending". If you don't, what happens to readers is that after the final book, we just can't take reading another series by the author where we feel like we just spent 20-30 hours on a story and we now feel depressed because just like real life, things didn't work out! Further, the authors of books like Twilight series or movies like While You were Sleeping,---- they all have the same formula which everyone loves and that is why they are so popular. The hero and heroine get together in the end because the heroine sorts through the messy relationship and comes out figuring out that deep relationships have all kinds of "misunderstandings", "I was trying to do the right thing and it didn't turn out the way I'd planned". It's not like Eden can't love again or love another person, but in this series, Eden and Kiran are depicted as "soul mates" in the first & second book. Soul mates have fights, do and say horrible things to each other just like everyone else. But the great difference is that they really can't stay away from each other because they are bonded like no one else can bond---those two people will never love again like they did with each other and they can never just "forget each other over time". It's not possible & the author does know this because she depicted Eden's mother and father as soul mates with all the attributes of two people who sacrificed everything for each other. Read more ›

5.0 out of 5 stars Well... October 25, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Okay, I love Rachel Higginson's creativity and style. I think she has great ideas and this book is clearly better edited than the last two books have been. I felt like the writing style is different this time though, I don't know what it was exactly. I'm rating it 5 stars because I really want people to buy her books, love them and eventually get her the world-wide fame she deserves- and we get a movie out of it. I still don't know who would play Kiran and Jericho though, but they'd have to be good. ;) Anyway, and this is a SPOILER if you haven't read the book yet, but WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED WITH KIRAN?! I LOVED LOVED LOVED Kiran. He meant well! You could understand his betrayal, you felt sick when he was sick, you longed for their magic to reunite. I love Jericho- love the name, love the physical description- but Kiran and Eden. That's who is meant to be, and I'm desperately waiting on January 2012 for Endless Magic. I've checked every day of October for this book and read through it into the early hours of the morning, utterly captivated. But I ended it breathless, even more in love with the series and disappointed. Final words? Kiran and Eden HAVE to be together!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Series! November 22, 2011
By Mosacha
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thought this was a great 3rd book in the series! The best so far! I am glad that Eden finally was able to meet her real parents and that the author finally introduced them. One thing that was missing from this book, was Avalon of course, who's been sitting in Lucan's prison the whole time. I missed Eden's and Avalon's connection and interactions with eachother as brother and sister. I do love Eden and Jericho refreshing after Eden and Kiran. I do not like Kiran in this book and am glad Eden finally saw through to the person he really is. I know other readers are hoping for Eden and Kiran together again, but I think that would be she simply going to forget everything bad he's done to her up to now? This last book ended with a major cliffhanger! Cannot wait till the 4th one comes out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fearlessly in love October 24, 2011
By Rachael

This is the third book in the Crossed Star series. Wow! What a story! It continues to take you on an unbelievable journey! Eden is on a mission to free her brother! She will stop at nothing and finds the courage to become a leader in the Resistance. This book is filled will adventure, love and magic! Eden is fearless in everything she does and I can't help but be angry that the book ended when it did. Only because I'm completely captivated by the series. Again Rachel takes you on an unperdictable and twisted ride that you can't help but love and want more...a lot more! A must read. Immortals rock! Team Jericho!

4.0 out of 5 stars Jacob wins? October 25, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved, loved, loved the first two books. I could not wait for third book to come out. I read Fearless Magic in one night, and I was drawn in from the first chapter. I love the twists and turns of the plot, and I feel there are so many original ideas in all three of the books. However, the love story has left me feeling like I'm reading Twilight, but in the Magic series, "Jacob" wins. I didn't know what to feel about Kiran, but the animosity between him and Eden felt wrong--justified, but wrong. The book left me heartbroken for everyone. I have hope that there will be some redemption, revelations, compassion, and passion in the last book. I will read the fourth book, but my fingers are crossed that the characters I fell in love with will be worth loving at the end.
