Book Description

We live in a world in which there are many occurrences that we do not understand. Like the quick images in the corner of our eyes when we turn our head or when we think we see shadows in the darkness of a closet or hallway? What if these images and shadows were actually beings from another world bleeding into ours? What if there were humans that could see and interact with these beings? What would their days be like? What would their nights be like? Fearlings is a story of such a human.

Fearlings is a short story that is part ONE in a series titled The Fearlings series.

The idea for this story is amazing! However, the editing and writing is horrible. I wish someone would take the idea and actually write a good book. Very disappointing...

5.0 out of 5 stars i loved this book. September 11, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really liked this book. i got it on a promotion...it was free. i saw the reviews and i thought what the heck. So i got it. It actually took me a while to get around to reading...something i am now very happy about. Because if i had read it when i got it...i would have been waiting even longer for the next book. so two weeks of not waiting.. but now that i read it, i wanted more. so i went ahead and bought the other two, and ran through them...Fearlings Two (The Fearlings Series) and Fearlings Three (The Fearlings Series) and now i am waiting...EAGERLY for the next.. The book series is so fascinating.

It deals with these creatures(?) who stay in the dark. I found this both disturbing and very intesting...just saying that i glanced around my room and hoped to see one...no such luck...its really a good story. But it always leaves me wanting more. the author said it right... that he's not a writer...he's a story teller. I love that distinction, because it really is a story.

So. i really don't want to get to far into the book and give anything away ('cause that would be a shame) but if you like ongoing stories, interesting stories, original stories, and just plain want to read something GOOD... i totally recommend this book...and the rest of the series.

I can't wait to read the other two stories in this series! I really liked this book and the author's style of writing. Simplistic yet able to pull off a great story that has a lot of room to play out in different scenarios. Guess it's time for me to read " FEARLINGS PART TWO!

5.0 out of 5 stars loved it December 30, 2012

"Fearlings" is one of the first books I have ever finished all the way through. I Read the first book in 2 hours max and I am currently reading the second one. The author peaked my interest and kept me wanting more. The reading was easily understood and very vivid. I like the way the author kept going back in the middle of the story and told another story so that we could fully understand the lives and tragic situations each person had went through. I am anxious to see what happens in the next two series and where the author takes it.

1.0 out of 5 stars How did such a good idea go so wrong?
Just terrible. Poorly written and repetitive. If it was by an advanced ESL student then perhaps the standard of English would be okay. Read more

More About the Author

I am Michael Edward, a husband, a father of six, a friend, and a self-proclaimed storyteller. I say storyteller because to use the word writer would be a misrepresentation, it might imply that I can write. I have always felt that my imagination was my strength and I always see everything as a movie. A lot of times when I write, its like I am sitting in a movie theater watching it on screen and I just write down what I see with the words that I know.

I love to write screenplays and that bleeds into my writing style. Also, I have epilepsy, and my seizures have increased, so if they bleed into the writing I apologize. I just want to tell entertaining stories that give people a chance to escape reality for a bit. I mean no disrespect to writers.

I am currently working on The Beginning On The End: Book Five and Book Six, Enter Sandman 3, Fearlings Four and will make them available as soon as they are completed.

I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read the sample chapters, to buy the stories, or to leave reviews. Like I said, being a husband and a father of six, I understand how valuable time is, and again, thank you.
