De Undecim Milibus Virginbus: O Ecclesia Feather on the Breath of God, an extremely touching series of compositions from Erin Jacobsen (co-written and produced by Rob Whitesides-Woo) was born out of the artist's love and devotion to God. The amount of beauty on Feather on the Breath of God is overwhelming - Jacobsen poured her heart and soul into this recording and it shows. Piano, lush synthesizer washes, flute, guitar and angelic choir vocalese are the main components to this music, which floats airily along much like the feather being described in the title. Among the highlights of Feather on the Breath of God are "Song for the Lord" and "The Last Supper" - two tracks which both display Jacobsen's intimate and emotional compositional style. Feather on the Breath of God is the album to play if you want to create an atmosphere that is charged with love and peace.- Intimate and emotional, Feather on the Breath of God is one compilation CD you shouldn't miss. The music on Feather on the Breath of God does, in fact, float airily along...just like a feather.

Judging from the cover photo and confirming by the entry's barcode (717794675023), this is the reissue on the record-club Musical Heritage Society of a top-chart recording published by Hyperion (in 1982 for the LP and 1985 for the CD), whose original CD release is here, Hilegard von Bingend: A Feather on the Breath of God, and doesn't sell more expensive on the marketplace at the time of writing. The music is monophonic, appeased, ethereal, mystical, soothing, Medieval New Age music. For more details, see my extensive review and 58 others under the original Hyperion entry.
