5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Cards
Ted Andrews did a wonderful job with these oracle cards. I read some of the negative reviews about the texture of the cards and photos. I too was not too impressed by the photos at first. Do not let this stop you from purchasing a deck. I have found that I prefer the thiner cards because they are much easier to shuffle. I believe I am able to share more of my energy with...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I thought it would be.
I could not wait til this deck came out! I kept bugging dragon publishing on when to expect it, they kept saying next month, next month and finally it arrived. I do not agree with most of the captions under the birds. It was very generic . After all the hype I expected more. I agree with the other reviewer the Medicine Cards would be better but I really enjoy the...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Cards, May 9, 2010

Ted Andrews did a wonderful job with these oracle cards. I read some of the negative reviews about the texture of the cards and photos. I too was not too impressed by the photos at first. Do not let this stop you from purchasing a deck. I have found that I prefer the thiner cards because they are much easier to shuffle. I believe I am able to share more of my energy with the card, because of the easy handling. As for the photographs, upon selecting one of the cards, it is very easy to look at the bird in the eyes and feel a strong conection to the bird. I don't think I would get the same conection with artwork. The readings are always acurate. I am amazed at how the cards really know everything that is going on in my world. I have a few different sets of oracle cards; this is my favorite. I can always count on a reading that is direct and to the point. I recommend this set for anyone from beginer to advanced.

4.0 out of 5 stars Birds as omens, June 18, 2009

This review is from: Feathered Omens: Messenger Birds from the Spirit World (Book & Tarot Card Set) (Paperback)
Feathered Omens cards and book are packaged in a nice box with magnetized closure. It is a well thought-out presentation and I will enjoy using these cards in my daily interactions with our feathered friends. I must admit, however, that I am underwhelmed by the actual photos of the birds. Mr. Andrews explains that he has used the photos to fully show the colorations of the plumage, etc. I guess I was expecting nice artwork drawings instead. The photos are OK, but not all that visually exciting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magical., June 8, 2009
This review is from: Feathered Omens: Messenger Birds from the Spirit World (Book & Tarot Card Set) (Paperback)
I have only had this deck for a short time, but have been truly amazed at how relevant each card I have chosen...or rather chose me has been. I just went to see my dear friend and very gifted psychic medium, and she tried to wave her energy off to focus on my reading, but the cards were talking to her.She chose 3 cards and knew they were for her. We were both quite impressed with the relevance...and the timing of the messages. Then we did mine. I left them with her to check out. She doesn't know it yet,but I am gifting her that deck and ordering another for myself. I highly recommend these for those reasons and for the ease of use! Very cool stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars New Age Retailer Magazine Review, August 26, 2009
This review is from: Feathered Omens: Messenger Birds from the Spirit World (Book & Tarot Card Set) (Paperback)
Focusing specifically on birds, their habits and habitats, Ted Andrews has developed a truly unique oracle deck. The birds were chosen for their association with bringing messages from the angelic realm. You do not have to be a bird afficionado to appreciate the beauty and wisdom of these feathered friends. Attractively packaged in a sturdy box, this 40 card set includes an accompanying 128 page guidebook that also discusses ways to connect with the cards and Nature herself.

There is abundance of knowledge that can only be shared with nature and the willing to learn - as H W Beecher states, "If men had wings and bore black feathers, few of them would be clever enough to be crows". I would like to thank Ted Andrews of providing knowledge and sharing with the willing.

When I first got the cards as a gift, I wasn't sure what to think. I began reading the book and looked over the cards and come to realize that there is a lot to these cards. Amazing how everytime I'm out some place I can see these small signs all around us and understand there is meaning behind everything that happens in our lives whether it's big or just very small. Very good set. I enjoy reading and learning more.

I could not wait til this deck came out! I kept bugging dragon publishing on when to expect it, they kept saying next month, next month and finally it arrived. I do not agree with most of the captions under the birds. It was very generic . After all the hype I expected more. I agree with the other reviewer the Medicine Cards would be better but I really enjoy the Power Animal Oracle Cards by Steven Farmer. Its his first animal deck. This feathered omen just didn't live up to the hype. I'm so disappointed that I'm thinking about doing my own cards on birds. He really missed the messages in their mannerism.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth your money... Stick to Nature Speaks or Animals Speak, June 11, 2009

This review is from: Feathered Omens: Messenger Birds from the Spirit World (Book & Tarot Card Set) (Paperback)
I own several of Ted Andrews works. This is not as well thought out as either of his books Nature Speaks or Animals Speak, both of which are a far better value for your money than this set of cards. I found this set far less illuminating and far more negative than the informational approach he uses in his books. If you want a good set of cards that always speak accurately try Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams. They may be a little more expensive, but are well worth the investment!!! And You Won't Be Disappointed...

Practical advice that is sometimes scarey in it's accuracy for where you are at in life. Bought one for a friend as well as myself so we sometimes compare interpretations of events. Way cool.
