I have been singing the praises of this little device since I first plugged it in. I bought it for the kitchen but, found that the outlet space was a little to small. So, I made room for it in the bathroom. Am I ever glad I did. That thing will NEVER leave the bathroom again! When you're finished in the bathroom, there is NO odor. Great for having guests over during the holidays. You know how there is always ONE who really lights up the bathroom? If you don't know, then you're probably the one I'm talking about. Anyway, the odor removal appliance works great for those special events. It's a great investment. It doesn't cover odors, it ELIMINATES them! Even when we spray our fragrance in the bathroom, the smell never leaves the room. I can't say enough about it. Okay, I can. And, I'll wrap it up here. Buy it, you won't be sorry. I'm getting more for other parts of the house.

I don't know how this item works, it just does. We have a three senior citizen cats who are attached to clay cat litter and all it entails, including not the best odor control. We've been using this odor remover for about a month and it's amazingly effective. It's fairly quiet, just sounds like a small fan, and hasn't kept the skittish cats away from the cat box at all. The only con might be that it needs to be plugged in to work and for maximum effectiveness it needs to be within six feet of the odor source, so if you don't have an outlet handy, you may have to rig an extension cord like we did.

After spending hundreds of dollars on air cleaners, air purifiers and

air ionizers this order removal appliance turns out to work best for my house. Very old dog equals very big smell problem.... solved with little

fuss by Febreze. I can finally return home from work and not have to

wrinkle my nose from the doggy smell. I will be buying more of these for

every friend I have with a pet.

I never write reviews but I was so impressed with this product that I just had to type something up.

I recently moved into a new studio apartment in Manhattan. There was a lingering smell -- what I think was smoke from a neighbor or previous tenant -- that I could not get rid of no matter how much I cleaned.

I decided to give an air purifier a try. After spending over $100 and not getting any significant results, I gave this product a try. Within 1 day of plugging it in, the odor had significantly decreased. By the 3rd day, it was completely gone. It's been about a month now and the odor remains gone.

What I love most about this product is that it really does eliminate odors as opposed to covering them up with some "perfumey" smell. And, the price is right.

I bought this for my bathroom, where my cats' litterbox also lives. I was shocked when I plugged it in. For the first 48 hours, it was amazing how much of a difference it made in the smell.

However, after about that long, it seems to have stopped working almost completely. This was disappointing, after such a promising start. I'm hoping a new filter may do a better job, but so far I'm not terribly impressed.

I have two of these machines. I had to order them as I cant find them in any store!

Im a smoker and I feel they do a good job of eliminating the smoke odor.

It would be nice if I could find them locally. Along with the filters.

I would recommend them highly.

Ultimately, I am shocked at how well this works to remove odors. When my wife bought it I was totally skeptical that this little thing could handle an 8x9 guest bathroom with a litter box in it (two cats). We put it in and let it run. We were familiar with the not-so-fun smell of the cat's dirty business so any slight improvement would be noticed. The next day I went into the bathroom and was totally shocked. The bathroom air was clean and crisp with no hint of the litter smell. Now, our litter box is under the counter but in an open area. The counter may help to keep the litter smell isolated (and we use unscented litter) but even so, the bathroom does not smell of litter at all. Admittedly, we just moved into this place so the litter box smell has not had a chance to permeate any bathroom linens or stick to anything else. If you want to give this deodorizer a fair chance in a similar situation I would recommend washing the linens and cleaning the room up.

I highly recommend this product for litter box related use and for a guest bathroom. It can be embarrassing to do one's business at a guest's house and this filter really clears the room out quickly.

I would like to add that the filter is supposed to be changed every 4 months and there is a little chemical timer on the top of the device that you start when you replace the filter. The timer is saying that it is about an 1/8 of the way through and it has been a week. Therefore, I cannot comment on the duration of the filter and it's long term effectiveness. I will try to remember to update this review at a later time. Lastly, the filter has only an on/off setting, which is its only drawback in my opinion.

I have a cat litter box, a rabbit litter box, and a doggie pee pad all in one small area (within 5 feet or so of each other) of my living room. Needless to say, sometimes the smell of urine was very noticable. Especially the ammonia smell from the rabbit pee - even though the boxes are cleaned twice daily. However, after plugging in the febreze odor removal appliance, it really cleared up any noticable odors and I can walk into the living room and not be assaulted by urine smells. LOVE this little plug in. I am currently using the general use filter that came with the unit, but I also bought the separate pet odor filters too. I will try one of those next. I'm going to take advantage of the 4 for 3 promotion and get some of these for gifts.

I bought 3 of these Febreze machines and got a 4th free. They are wonderful. I have 4 dogs and I smoke; odors are gone with these turned on around the house.

I have them on all day and turn them off at night. I couldn't be more satisfied.

By the way-- shop around for the charcoal filter replacements: I got them for nearly half of Amazon's price elsewhere.

This little thing works much better than I had anticipated. In a small bathroom, it seems to take odors out of the air pretty quicky, especially if the door is left shut for a while after you-know-who takes a you-know-what. It makes a little bit of a fan noise, but who cares?

I haven't changed the filter yet, so I can't comment on filter life. The model with the nightlight is useful, but it is a bit annoying that the night light can't be turned on independently of the fan- there is no auto-on sensor, etc.

This thing is probably a great addition to any guest bathroom (provided your guests can figure out what it is and how to turn it on), and might also make a perfect gift for the men in your life who are unashamed of their tendency to stink up the bathroom.
