Being a Febreze fan I was happy to try out this candle. I also am a candle junkie and buy mine from a major retailer. I have never bought a soy candle though, only wax. I was surprised that there really was not much of a difference. If anything the soy keeps cleaner. One thing I do with all my candles, after burning them, I cut the wick before I burn it again to prevent the black smoke and also it will burn evenly. I have to say this candle burns the most evenly I have seen. I also noticed with other candles the scent fades after a few burns but this candle the scent remains in the candle. I have been burning it a few hours for the last week and a half and it still smells `new'. It states it will burn for 30 - 40 hours but I think closer to 30 is more accurate. Another bonus was the wood cover/base. It is nice to present the candle on the black painted base to display it but I prefer to cover the candle with it. That was an added benefit. Overall I was very surprised and have nothing negative to say about the candle. As a previous tester of another Febreze Home Collection product, the Febreze Home Collections Green Tea Citrus Flameless Luminary Starter Kit, 1 Kit Box, I liked it so much I ended up buying 6 refills for the base. I will most likely be buying these candles as well. Very pleasant scent without being overwhelming, that is hard to so.

This candle has a very fruity scent, and we thought it was a great to have in our living room. To be honest I was a bit skeptical about how a cranberry pear blend was going to be, but I think it's very warm and comfortable. In other candles I have bought sometimes a smell can be overwelming, like it takes over the room and your nose and it's the only thing that you can focus on. I didn't feel that way with this candle; I just thought it made the room smell nice and it wasn't something that was invading my senses.

Also, I was glad that it was a soy based candle and when I thought it was pretty clean when it burned. I have gotten candles before where you can literally see a black smoke trail coming from the top of the candle, and although it might smell nice I don't think that that is healthy or clean to have burning in my home to breathe. This candle did not have any black smoke and burned very nicely and slowly.

I highly recommend this scent or any of the Febreze candles to anyone that is looking for a nice candle to have in their home or to give as a gift. There are more expensive candles out there that are not as nice as a fragrance and leave black smokey trails that you will regret buying. Just go for the Febreze candle.

This is a strong-smelling candle, but not overpowering. Some scents really bother me, but this was not one of them. It has a slighly florally-fruity smell to it.

The glass that it is in is nice and sturdy. It has a nice wooden base that doubles as a lid. There are no stickers on the sides, so it does not look like some grocery store candle.

I was pleased with the burn time too.

The packaging was great. It came double-boxed and securely packaged.

The only downside is that I really would have like a little more fruity of a smell, but since it is cranberry holly instead of the cranberry pear, I guess it is expected.

I buy candles....I buy a LOT of candles so I was interested in trying these to see what kind of quality I would get from a candle readily available at my local Target or other big box store. Surprisingly, they are quite nice. Though I didn't think this smelled particularly like cranberry or pear, it had a nice fruity scent to it. Not over powering but just strong enough. The lid on it also becomes a base, which is nice. While I was test driving it my husband's friend came over and mentioned how nice our house smelled. Well, I think that it a good sign when a guy notices....

Now on to the burning. In order to get a nice even burn you need to burn out to the circumference of the candle so it burns evenly and with little to no residue. So far this has burned very evenly. I am just sure to let it burn all the way to the end and then before burning again I trim the wick to about a quarter inch.

I would consider buying again, but most likely in another scent. The green tea one smelled great at the store and I would be inclined to try them again to see what scent I liked the best.

If you are looking for a good everyday candle perfect for a living room or larger area I would definitely give this one a try.

As a note to the reader, this candle was listed as being Cranberry Pear when I selected it through the Amazon Vine program, but I received Cranberry Holly instead. At any rate, mine was also partially melted when it got here today, so that was messy. I got the package just as it was delivered right out of the hands of the UPS guy, so it wasn't like this package had been sitting on my porch in the sun or anything.

My second impressions of the candle once I wiped it up were that I liked the look of it. The glass container it's in is nice and heavy and looks pleasant with the wooden coaster/lid.

Finally, I'm not crazy about the scent. It's just ok. Reminiscent of a gas station bathroom air freshener for me. Scents are such a highly personal thing, though. Everybody likes different scents and you just have to smell them yourself to see if you like them, I think.

This candle should be lit only to address stronger odors. It works well in the kitchen or the bathroom. If you plan on using this candle while entertaining, do so before your guests arrive. This will attenuate the scents and make it more subtle. Overall, I enjoyed the Cranberry/Pear scents.

The candle is encased in a stylish glass container. The wood lid can also serve as a base (coaster). The lid simplifies extinguishing the candle and softens the look of the unit.

Febreze's claim that this candle has a slow burn time of 30 to 40 hours is accurate. Since, you get long lasting scents for a short burn period, this candle will last you a long time.

A few years ago, I wanted to buy a candle on Amazon (3rd party Seller) but the shipping cost was outrageous. Amazon selling candles directly to its customers is a big plus.

Amazon should include this product in its Subscribe and Save Offering. I could see myself wanting to get this unit every 6 months and save money in the process.

This is a very strong smelling candle whether it's lit or not. After opening the box, the powerful smell took over the room. The aroma is okay, but I have no use for candles, so I gave it to my mom. I asked her what she thought about it and we decided to give it a four star rating. She liked it more than I did. Good for clearing out smells, but a little too powerful for me.

I love these candles so much! I always have them in stock inside my house. We keep them in our bathroom and for decoration. It smells great and looks so nice! It also last so long!!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and fresh the scent of this candle is. It leaves my apartment smelling lightly of green tea. It's not overpowering if you burn it in a big open space, I only wish that the candle has longer burning power.

I purchased two of this candle a while back and I loved them. They have a pleasant scent that people visiting my house enjoyed. I would light them in the first and second floor bathrooms and they would scent the whole floor. I would have rated this candle four or five stars if it wasn't for the fact that when I got down to the bottom of the candle the glass shattered. When I found it I was suddenly very glad that I had it burning in the bathroom where there was nothing to catch on fire. I don't know if it was just that particular batch, the environment, or what, but wouldn't recommend burning these candles down to the bottom.
