Chapter 1: Throughout this book we identify ways to begin a federal career in law enforcement. While some books examine different types of federal law enforcement jobs and describe agencies, most provide little information on how to go about applying for and landing the job. In other words, they leave out the critical details necessary for land the job-vacancy announcements, applications packages, and personnel procedures. That's our task in this book: outline the application process and show how to make it work in your favor.
