5.0 out of 5 stars Run That By Me Again, please., November 22, 2007
By
This review is from: Feed the Good Dog (Paperback)
Paul writes about lifestyle addictions, apathy for one, and then gives you seven tools to guide you through the course of transformation. All you have to do is apply the techniques found in the pages of this book to create the person you want to be. You have to do more than read the book; you have to implement the tools you are given.
I also really like the proverbs and quotes used as analogies along the way. One of my favorite proverbs from this book is "If you can walk, you can dance. If you can talk, you can sing." This quote is incredibly simple and yet so very profound. The other is a particular favorite because my dad used a version of it when we were growing up. "The best way to escape from a problem is to solve it." My dad's words: "If you have a problem, solve it." He would end that with, "If you need help, my door is always open."
Reading "Feed the Good Dog" opens that door for me. Thank you, Paul, good job - well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Combining the Necessary Ingredients, February 15, 2008
This review is from: Feed the Good Dog (Paperback)
The choice to succeed isn't just about one pearl of wisdom, or just one strategy. Instead, the choice to succeed is about combining all the necessary ingredients in the right way and at the right time. Feed The Good Dog by Paul McCabe gives everyone the right ingredients to make their own success a reality.

Paul's book isn't rocket science - it's good common sense orchestrated with clarity so that from teenager to corporate executive it makes sense and is practical. Paul is able to combine the wisdom of the past into a path to the future. In the course of his book, Paul identifies and describes 7 key strategies to move you to success. You can learn from his writings, his own life examples, and his strategies. If you want to be more, have more, I highly recommend getting your hands on a copy as soon as you can.

4.0 out of 5 stars Material I can use NOW !!, January 26, 2008
This review is from: Feed the Good Dog (Paperback)
Not only is this book loaded with common sense directions that I found particularly insightful, it also encourages one to "get on with it". Many other similar books I have read have left me with the feeling that if I simply hoped for success it would come to me. "Feed the Good Dog" suggests that I am the master of my own fate and that I already possess all the tools I need to succeed !! If I act, I will prosper.
