This game starts "slow," AKA easy, and it doesn't get too hard. Some of the levels have creative, interesting devices, such as the glowing plankton to keep the light on. The backgrounds change frequently, and so do the critters and the storyline. Very enjoyable!! Feeding Frenzy 2 is suitable for the hearing impaired, but many of the fish are so small that I wouldn't recommend it for use by the visually impaired.

I'm a 30 year old and I bought this for my 65 year old mother as a fun gift. We both enjoyed it so much, I had to get it for my girlfriend also (so I could play it). I find myself immitating the in-game voice saying 'mega frenzy' and the like at odd times of the day.
Definately a fun game. Great for spending time with friends or family around the computer. The PC requirements are extremely light. It ran fine on my 10+ year old computer.

An original casual game from Popcap,

This review is from: Feeding Frenzy 2: Shipwreck Showdown (CD-ROM)
Feeding Frenzy was one of my favorite of the old Popcap games (never really got into the Bejeweled craze) and this sequel is even better.
Like the first Feeding Frenzy, you control a fish by simply moving your mouse left and right. The object is to eat fish that are smaller than you while avoiding fish that are larger. As you consume fish you eventually grow in size to where you can now eat the fish that were once chasing you. New to this version is the ability to jump out of the water briefly to collect bonuses and feed on insects. Many new predators have been added along with some original favorites. It seems simple, but it's not as easy as it sounds and it gets rather hectic avoiding all the large fish, poison fish, jelly fish, and even pelicans that would like to eat you for lunch. It's a lot of fun with little learning curve, the hallmark of a good game; especially for kids. If you don't mind slightly dated graphics, warm up with the original Feeding Frenzy first. (Hot tip, get the PopCap Arcade pack Vol. 1 if the price is right.) If you can only afford one game, however, then Feeding Frenzy 2 is definitely the one to get.
