highest review possible logical insanity with heavy metal guitars!

I first saw M.I.R.V. opening for Claypool's Frog Brigade and, truth be told, they stole the show playing many of the songs from this disc. Unabomber, Technology Doctor, Chupacabras, Pink Elephants, and Like You became instant favorites (and still are, years later). If you have almost given up hope on rock music, BUY THIS DISC!!!

The M.I.R.V. boys know how to play their guitars but don't lord it over you. The overall sound of this album is a great mix of cool crunchy punk-infused hard rock, loopy swamp industrial funk, and a little bit of hyper clown country-pickin' rave-up. Super tight, sounds good in the car but the people in the car next to you may not understand. Definitely an album for those with diverse tastes who like to hear it all in one place. If you ever get a chance to see them live, do it... but beware if the guitar player does his fire-breathing trick.

Much, much better than the Backstreet Boys. This cd must be heard! It should be required listening in all universities! It rocks! It rolls! The Saw is family, fer cry sakes!!

This heavily-goateed Bay Area band rocks, amuses, and confuses all on one cd. They rock with Like You, a tongue-in-cheek hair metal anthem. They amuse in Monkey Boy--featured on a Sega commercial a couple years back. They confuse with Technology Doctor and Unabomber--what tha fah? All in all a great disc all the way through. Catch them live--even better!
