I bought this book over the summer and recently made my first product using a recipe in the book. It was amazing! The book is very thorough and not only are there specific recipes for different skin types, but there are also general instructions for people who want to explore on their own. I'm done with commercial products and from now on, I'm making all my skincare myself!

A friend suggested this book. Making one's own cosmetics is rewarding on the physical, mental and spiritual level. It gives a sense of confidence that buying off the shelf does not. The book is lovely to look at, specific in its recipes, interesting to read, and none of the cosmetics are difficult to make. It takes experimenting and learning new ways of doing things, but that is what books are for - to experience the every day in a different way. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to stop paying outrageous prices for cosmetics that can be made for pennies without damaging chemicals and still bring beauty to one's skin and a glow to one's persona.
