My god this is an incredible album! The Badge, Alan's On Fire, Plastic Bomb, so many classics on one album! Coming across like the true heirs to Black Flag, these guys really kicked some major ass in the early 90's at a time when Hardcore was truely dying not just because of fairly mediocre music, but because of scene violence and the unfortunate increase in (...) skinheads to the shows. So thank god for Posion Idea who virtually rejuvenated the scene. This along with follow-up album War all the time go down as Hardcore classics. (...)

The kings of punk really hit thier stride on this one.Easily one of the greatest punk records of all time.Seamlessly combining hooks, speed, crunch, and emotion, this record is the crown jewel in this band's rich catalogue.Thier other albums are also great, but this is the place to start.Worth the price ,and thats rare these days.Reach out and FEEL THE DARKNESS.

The first couple Poison Idea EPs are fantastic, with a distinctive sound and a sense of humor. This CD is technically more proficient, which leads to some interesting moments on tracks like "Taken by Surprise" and "Plastic Bomb" but also seems a little too polished. Listening to the same songs live on the Dutch Courage CD, they seem a lot more vital, which makes me think that this record would have benefited from less metal wankery and less production (and I say this as someone who likes metal and good production quality). The attitude also shifted subtly from angry and scummy but funny to a sort of pseudo-Rollins "intense" pose. You could almost call it PI's "My War". Not bad by any means, in fact better than 90% of the stuff out there, but not as good as "Pick Your King" or "Record Collector's Are..."
RIP Pig Champion.

If you have made it this far you have wasted enough time, just run head first into a brick wall for more fun. Reckon it to your uncles band wanting to play at your party.
