5.0 out of 5 stars IF I HAD TO PICK A FAVORITE REBA ALBUM THIS WOULD BE IT!
This is my favorite Reba album of all the ones she's done. It is the one I keep going back to and listening over and over. The songs are beautiful and Ms. McEntire sings her heart out without going over!!

3.0 out of 5 stars You may FEEL THE FIRE, but it doesn't ignite
Reba's career has spanned more than two decades, and as you listem to her albums, one can hear the changing times, and the changing woman. Not quite a diva, Reba shows a lot of growth and potential in one of her best EARLY works. This album features her 1st Top Ten single, "You Lift Me Up To Heaven," as well as some stellar songwriting. The stand-out tracks...

5.0 out of 5 stars I JUST FINISHED LISTENING TO THIS AND...., September 29, 2005
This review is from: Feel the Fire (Audio CD)
It is absolutely phenomenal. This is Classic Reba at her very, very best. "Suddenly There's a Valley" will give you chills and is by far the best thing on here...but all the songs are excellent!! Reba should record a gospel CD with this type of arrangement....clean, beautiful and not adorned with loud electric guitars, synthesizers, percussion or background vocals that drown her beautiful voice out. This one is becoming a rarity so snatch it up if you can. This one is worth a mint!

5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT A FINE PIECE OF WORK!!, September 30, 2005

Without resorting to the vocal gimmickry that has marred most of her later material, Reba offers herself completely wholesome and talented in this marvelous collection of songs. This song contains her first top ten hit "You LIft Me Up to Heaven". If you have ever heard Reba do this in concert its even better than the recording but I think it should have been a number one song. Same goes for "I Can See Forever In Your Eyes". And she does an awesome job on "Tears on My Pillow", "Look at the ONe Who's Been Lookin' at You", and "Suddenly THere's a Valley". She does Patsy Cline proud on "A Poor Man's Roses and A Rich Man's Gold". Also tasty offerings are "Long Distance Lover" and "My Turn". "I Don't Think Love Oughta Be THat Way" features a dandy dobro and one of Reba's most endearing performances. This is one of her finest and if you haven't heard early Reba, this one is as good as any to get acquainted and find out why she became a superstar of the highest magnitude.

Used to be I would buy a Reba McEntire album and love every song on it!! This is one of those albums! You can't go wrong here with anything and Reba is just grand in some of the best material she has ever recorded including her first top ten "You Lift Me Up to Heaven". "I Can See FOrever in Your Eyes" with that beautiful Steel lick after the chorus is just enough to send chills up my spine!! A truly spectacular effort!!

5.0 out of 5 stars NOW THIS IS A CLASSIC ALBUM!!, September 28, 2005
This review is from: Feel the Fire (Audio CD)
When you find a Reba album where all the songs are first class material and she does an outstanding job on every one of them...you'd better hold on to it tight because this is rarely the case any more. This is one of her very best!! Every song is Class A stuff and Reba is simply grand!!! Bravo!!
