4.0 out of 5 stars Think Hum, Foo Fighters and Wellwater Conspiracy in an Indie Rock Album, December 18, 2010

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Feel Good Together (MP3 Download)

A collection of "Drummers" from other bands. Notably Patrick Carney of Black Keys (whom plays bass on this album). It is his record label (Audio Eagle Records) that produced this album(CD?).
Greg Boyd (of Ghostman & Sandman) keeps the rhythm, while Steven Clements (of Houseguest) plays keys and backup vocals, Jon Finley (Party of Helicopters) plays guitars and sings the upbeat rock n roll tunes. And finally Jamie Stillman plays the guitar.

A rollicking and (as the title says:Feel Good Together) upbeat sonic guitar sound that conjures memories of post grunge / alternative rock acts that spill from the mid-90's into the early 2000's. HUM, Foo Fighters, Poster Children, Hater & Wellwater Conspiracy and maybe a touch of the older more rock oriented Radiohead.

a few quick words.
1. this album has to be blared... at least you should listen to it loud, then you can appreciate it to it's fullest.
2. listen to it once through. and then listen to it again louder than the first time the next day for a second time... you'll come around to really digging it.
3. this album sounds like what ryan adam's "rock n roll" could have sounded if he wasn't ryan adams. that said, i mean that as a compliment to this album, and i have no beef with ryan adams. a solid musician.
4. to the band: thank you for this and please tour the east coast real soon. word.
