This little easy-to-read book is a treasure! It is filled with practical life-changing advice to rise above the challenges in life, including your own attitudes about yourself. Examples of topics she covers: acceptance/rejection, success/failure, being a wife/mother, self-care, what you say is important, unconditional love, sacrifice, crisis, etc. Written by a pastor's wife who has a heart for women's concerns, I found her to be very on-target and encouraging. Her Scripture quotations are from the original King James Bible. I don't usually study that translation anymore and found it refreshing to be reading from it again. Yes, this book is over 20 years old, but I found it to contain truths for today. Nothing is new under the sun?
