4.0 out of 5 stars ONLY EP TO DATE FROM ROCK'S BEST BAND, April 3, 1999
By
Brad Farha (West Virginia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Feel The Rage (Audio CD)
This is an EP - shorter and more trendy than an LP, and as such I would not recommend it as a first purchase of GALACTIC COWBOYS music for your collection. You will get a different feel for their material than would be accurate for assessing the general content of their work. This is a MUST for a true GC fan if for no other reason than it contains the only available live tracks to date, "Idle Minds" & "9th of June" from the "Machine Fish" tour and 3 tunes not on any of their other albums including two covers, "I Want You" (Paul Stanley) and "Junior's Farm" (Paul & Linda McCartney). In keeping with the familiar humor we've come to enjoy from Monty Colvin and the boys, there's also a little unintelligeable song 'about my grandmother' that won't surprise a true GC fan. If you haven't already got an album by GALACTIC COWBOYS, I suggest "Machine Fish" or "At The End Of The Day" for a more mainstream flavor. - Brad Farh

4.0 out of 5 stars kiss and McCartney, January 1, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Feel The Rage (Audio CD)
The Kiss song"I want You" is an awesome song in its original form. Galactic Cowboys put their own creative, heavy twist on it. And i must say it rocks. "Junior's Farm" sound amazingly like the original. Very cool. And the previously unreleased "Paradigm Shift" is a great tune. The final "hidden"track is a trip too. Its good to see rock bands still having fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, I guess, August 22, 1999

I like this cd because the music is good and the lyrics are good, but some of the songs, well, they just don't work for me. Don't get me wrong, this is a great cd, just as my opinion, it's not the're best.
