5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
I read somewhere that this album was a blatant attempt to appeal to mainstream Nashville. Huh? I never knew he was an outsider. Okay, Dierks has never been guilty of cookie cutter country but even "hits" radio knew good music when they heard it. 2.0 out of 5 stars a major dissapointment from dierks...
I have been a fan since his self titled debut, and I can honestly say that this is his worst album yet. There are no memorable songs on this disc, save for the semi-decent cover of the clay walker song "I cant forget her" (listen to the original for some real country!) but even then its still tiresome. I had high hopes for this release, but was let down. Where's the great...

I read somewhere that this album was a blatant attempt to appeal to mainstream Nashville. Huh? I never knew he was an outsider. Okay, Dierks has never been guilty of cookie cutter country but even "hits" radio knew good music when they heard it. This one's made for cranking with a couple of beautiful ballads in "Beautiful World" and "Pray". "Pray" especially touched my heart because I'm a divorced man trying to have an amiable relationship with my ex wife. If you add that to the fact that I have an autistic son who loves Dierks Bentley and he and his wife reached out to my son and reaffirmed my suspicion that this really is a beautiful world. It's excellent music from an exceptional person.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dierks on Fire!, February 9, 2009
What a great mix of country music. He touches on his bluegrass roots, rock-country hits and lovesongs. I think this is my favorite of his yet. If you haven't heard or listened to Dierks Bentley yet, this is a great place to start. I think he really gave his fans all of himself in this album and what a great way to get it in the fans hands by offering a $3.99 download. Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel The Fire....Smokin Hot!!!, February 4, 2009

This review is from: Feel That Fire (Audio CD)
Feel that Fire"....What a perfect name for Dierks Bentley's latest CD. You can definitely feel the fire and passion that he has for his music. I think that this CD by far is the best one yet.

I have been a huge (some might say obsessed) Dierks fan since the beginning and his latest work really shows just how much he has evolved into the rising Country Music Star that he is today. These songs are solid, fun and passionate and I think this CD contains a great mix of songs that show all the sides of Dierks musical talent. This CD without a doubt illustrates why Dierks has been successful playing all types of venues from small county fairs to Bonaroo.

Songs like Life on the Run, Sideways, Little Heartwrecker (my favorite), Here She Comes and Feel That Fire are up beat, feel good songs that will make you want to turn it up, dance and sing along. I can see them as a perfect fit for his "get the crowd" going style that he displays at his live shows.

I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes, I Can't Forget Her and Pray are true full of passion songs. They show the softer, sexier side of Dierks. Which is why Dierks was voted one of the top 3 sexiest men in country music this past year.

Beautiful World, You Hold Me Together and Better Believer are strong songs with powerful lyrics that you will find yourself singing along to. They are down to earth, make you think, real songs that are easy to relate to and they balance out this CD.

Last Call, is the perfect wrap up song for this CD. Its Blue Grass sound will have you tapping your toe to the beat as well as breaking out the "air" banjo so you can pick along. It is the kind of song that you might just want to play one more time before you are finished listening to the CD.

"Feel that Fire" is a must have for any level country music fan. It's the kind of CD that you will find yourself listening to over again from the first track thru the last one. It is full of songs that could all possibly be top single hits. I can hardly wait to watch the videos on AFN as they come out. If they are as good as the songs he will have a major accomplishment and truley something to be proud of. I think this CD is going to skyrocket and be the launch that Dierks needs to get him to the next level in his career. And this Dierks fan is proud to say that I have been here since the beginning!! Great Job Dierks!!! This one is really over the top.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dierks did it again!!!!, February 4, 2009
This review is from: Feel That Fire (Audio CD)
Dierks Bentley is at it again. Feel That Fire is a sure hit. There is such a range of music styles on this cd than ever before, but yet it still stays true to the Dierks Bently style of country music. There's something about his music that grabs me and pulls me in. I rarely listen to any cd all the way through, but just like the previous albums this one keeps me listening. Once I start playing a Dierks cd, it plays to the end. It's hard to pick a favorite Dierks Bentley song because they are all so good. If you haven't heard of Dierks Bentley, I recommend you go to www.dierks.com and check him out.

This is Dierks' greatest CD yet! It has a great mix of up tempo songs like "Sideways" and "Little Heartwrecker" and some amazing ballads like his duet with Patty Griffin "Beautiful World" and "Pray". I'm a long time Dierks fan but new fan or old, you won't be disappointed!

I love this album! It has a great mix of bluegrass, gospel, hard rocking country, and on and on. There are several great dancing songs for the clubs. The writing is amazing and I can't wait to hear which ones will be singles although I think Sideways will be next. I can't wait to see Dierks again this summer with Brad Paisley and Jimmy Wayne (my favorite new artist).

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm feelin' the fire !, February 3, 2009

My first country concert was Dierks Bentley, back in 2006. He was amazing and became my favorite country singer. About a year ago I saw him in concert for the second time and actually got to meet him. He's such an amazing person. Feel That Fire really shows off the many different "sides" of Dierks. There's the nice and slow, sensation songs but there still is the more up-tempo songs that we all love from him. All in all, this album is great, if you love direks, or country music, you're sure to love this album!

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel That Fire? -- you bet!, February 3, 2009
By
Feel That Fire is spawning a lot of blazing clichés this week, and all of them are right! This is one hot CD that is going to go places - read that up! Dierks has said he wanted to stay in the moment, as well as have fun. He's done it with style and grace. Style with the Warren Brothers in the title cut, grace with the incomparable Patti Griffin in Beautiful World, Better Believer, co-written with Rivers Rutherford, and Pray, written with Rodney Crowell. For fun you can't beat Sideways and Here She Comes. My favorite today is I Wanna Close Your Eyes, but tomorrow it may change to that motorcycle revving Life on the Run with Mike McCready (Pearl Jam). You may remember McCready's previous contribution with Bentley on Distant Shore on his first CD. Feel that Fire? You bet. Get yours today.
