Every veteran will love "Poster Girl," her touching song about Aussies in Iraq. As a Marine Vietnam vet, I play it often in my car. You won't be disappointed.

I originally bought this CD for her wonderful song "Poster Girl (Wrong side of the World)." She wrote it in response to an anti-war fan's critical letter, regarding her visit to the Aussie forces (Diggers) in Iraq.
I throughly enjoyed her more country-sounding songs, some of them a more mature subject matter, especially the concert version of "Lazy Bones."

Beccy should be a star worldwide,

I am amazed that Beccy Cole has not taken the world by storm. This album, plus her previous three are all excellent. "Feel This Free" surpasses the first three and that is no easy feat. The songs are insightful and powerful, and she sings them with strength and conviction. I've been a fan since I heard the sly and witty "Lazybones" (on another CD, although the re-issue of this title has a live version on a bonus disc) and keep waiting for new CD from her.
If you like strong women, Beccy Cole's music is essential for your collection. |
