Since 1988, I have listened to Louise Hay. In 2005, I was a victim of Hurrincane Katrina and decided to move. And I needed some affirmations to help me along the way. Then, I purchased several of Louise's CD's and also this one and they really helped me. This particular CD helped me in both physical illness and other problems. I do not understand why the other reviewers gave this CD such a low score. I will say that it worked so well for me and I continue to listen to this CD when I need a "booster shot."

Feeling Fine Affirmations by Louise L. Hay is exactly what it states. If you have a very poor self image or low self confidence, this CD could be a great help, if you are in the right frame of mind to be relaxed and receptive. She simply and softly speaks positive affirmations to help you learn to have good mental messages to yourself in order to be healthy physically and emotionally and to reduce stress. However, if you are already a positive and happy person, the CD's could make you feel as if you are learning to decline a verb!

I read some of the other reviews and it seems to me that the reviewers who said there was only music on the CD were cheated out of an excellent list of positive affirmations, spoken by Louise's calm and strong voice in a soothing and encouraging way.
The CD I got has a very short introduction into what affirmations are (any thoughts we speak and words we say), that most of what we casually think is quite negative, and that a conscious effort to focus on positive ideas can change our lives - for example, saying "I don't want to be sick anymore" or "I hate this job" does not give the body and mind good direction for perfect health and a wonderful new position, but when we think positive thoughts towards ourselves and others and our world, we can realize those thoughts - she reminds us that these affirmations do not seem true at first, since we make them to start a change in our lives, and that they are like seeds that need to germinate and grow, before becoming a full grown plant; then the CD provides the listener with many, many good examples of positive thoughts that are repeated in the "I am..." and "You are..." cases, so that they are given every chance to be absorbed. The listeners can make the given affirmations their own and/or invent their own ones after hearing these examples.
I like the CD a lot and listen to it often. I like it especially because the introduction to Louise's philosophy is very succinct in this CD and almost all of it is repetition of the affirmations which are very positive, encouraging, and uplifting, not just for someone who is down, but also for someone who is already doing very well and would like to stay focused on strong, positive thoughts. It is like eating your vitamins for the mind!
I would highly recommend this valuable CD, and I am grateful that it is so reasonably priced so it is affordable for many.

My tape must have been defective. There wqere no affirmations..only subliminal music.

Both sides of my tape had subliminal music....no affirmations..I was very disappointed. I think this was just a tape that was dysfunctional,
