5.0 out of 5 stars Please read this, December 16, 1999
This review is from: The Feeling Good Handbook (Hardcover)
Dr. Burns challenges us up front with a notion: we can change the way we feel if we change the way we think.

If you follow through on the "Feeling Good Handbook" you'll have little room to disagree with him. Dr. Burns' thorough review of mental fallacies should force you to retreat to complete self cognitive analysis.

If you make an concerted effort to apply what Dr. Burns' suggests. you should notice a difference in every day life.

This is a book that requires more than one read. To completely absorb and then apply what he recommends in one reading would be impossible. Keep it on a shelf within near reach.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best self-help books on the market today!, April 21, 1998

This book is excellent. It uses time proven cognitive therapy principles and lists them in an easy to understand and use format. This book is a must for all readers. The money you save verses seeing a therapist makes it a great bargin. I'm not saying it should replace your therspist. But it follows cognitive therapy to a tee--it helps to teach you to become your own therapist

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're in need of therapy, July 14, 2011

This book is great. Using this book in conjunction with therapy really helped me to reinforce what I was learning and change my thinking patterns. I recommend it to all my friends who I think could use it. I must warn you... if you don't really want to put in the effort to get healed from your depression etc.... this book is a waste of money. If you really want help and are willing to work to get improvement... this is a worthwhile investment.

The book was in good shape, no "dog eared" pages; however the book did smell like an ashtray. A few days in the garage after a fogging with fabreeze and everything was ok. Book arrived quickly as expected. Overall a good buy. Seller did as promised.
