Chuck Yamek, An awesome guitarist to take anywhere with you, July 3, 2003

I purchased Chuck Yamek's CD "Feels So Right" because of a friend's recommendation. I can't say enough how grateful I am to have found this awesome guitarist. My friend had seen Chuck play live at a local show and was impressed with his musical talent. After he told me about his guitar playing and his music, I couldn't wait to purchase his CD. My favorite song, "Thumbs" (as in Wes Montgomery), shows his versatility as a great guitar player. I listen to this disc in the car, at home and at work. Chuck's right that it 'feels so right'. His cover of the Freddie Hubbard classic "Little Sunflower" has the star quality as a song for the musician's musician. Chuck's songs take the next step up from most smooth jazz I've heard on the radio. Each tune has a refreshing sound, but yet flows smoothly into the next song. When I listen to this disc, it's like sharing time with a good friend. You'll find yourself moving to the beat without even realizing it. This is the type of music I'd like to hear more of on the radio. Chuck has put the music back in songs. It's nice to hear a gifted guitarist who can jazz it up or slow it down and make you feel like he's playing just for you. It's obvious that Chuck has now made a difference in how we will be judging good music. "Feels So Right" has just raised the bar. This disc is an essential to anyone's music collection. You'll be glad you bought it like I am. Keep those guitar tunes coming Chuck!

One to watch, December 11, 2003

Chuck's "Little Sunflower" release was rated #1 on the Music Choice jazz list, and after listening to this cd, you'll know why. The grooves are infectious and diverse, each one surprises with its unique style.
His original tunes really are -- the "Feels so right" intro leaves you thinking, "How'd he do that?" "A Little Latin Fiesta" is ultra cool -- it creates a new genre - 'smooth Latin'!
After buying the cd I had the chance to see him live in New York and he was amazing! Chuck puts the music back in musician -- his fingers are his special effects. A great addition to a real jazz lovers collection.
