My 1 year old loves this book. He touches every single bug over and over. Each one feels, looks and even sounds different (bristly bug, crinkly bug, lacey bug). I think that this is a very good book that can get small children interested in reading. We've had Feely Bugs for months and we still read it at least every other day.

My interest in David Carter's bug books began several years before my son was born three years ago. Pop-up books have always appealed to me, and Carter's knack for creating pop-ups that are both visually interesting and (gasp) reasonably sturdy made them a worthwhile purchase in my view.

Unfortunately, not all of Carter's books match the quality of More Bugs in Boxes or How Many Bugs in a Box?. Feely Bugs offers some novel textures, but it comes off as somewhat flat (if you'll pardon the pun); it shows you a few wacky bugs to look at and touch...and that's it. The images don't relate to each other, and the bugs aren't _doing_ anything. I would say that Pat the Bunny offers a more fulfilling tactile reading experience. My three-year-old found Feely Bugs interesting at first, but grew tired of it after just a couple of reads. Perhaps a toddler (18 mos - 2 years, maybe?) would find this book more engaging.

Great first book for active boy! My baby loved this book froma bout 6 months until 15 months or so. It was so much of a favorite the binding is very worn now. Now at 18 months he still loves it, but is more interested in books with stories. But it was well worth the purchase for a baby that constantly needs to be doing something when he reads. We now give this to our friends with newborns along with Fuzzy, Fuzzy, Fuzzy.

My 14-month-old got this for Christmas and loves it. It is his new favorite book. He loves to feel the different bugs, especially the "feathery" bug. We've read it so many times that if I call out his favorite, he can turn to their page and show me.

I bought this book for my 2.5yr old when he was 6 months and he loved it. Now I am reading it to his little brother who is 7 months and he loves it too! It has many more textures than most touch and feel books and they are quite large, perfect for little uncoordinated hands and fingers to touch. The graphics are simple, again making it easy to find the textures. My only quam would be that the book is a little flimsy, but everything else makes up for it. This is a great way to introduce books to your baby, especially those who don't want to sit still for reading!

My 8 month old son loves this book! He loves to touch all of the different bugs and will choose this book over toys most of the time. The pages have fur, feathers, lace, leather, sticky dots, puffy fabric, velvet, crimped fabric, scratchy Velcro, and crinkle foil. They are all very secure in the page and my son hasn't even been able to pull the feathers out yet. I know this book will be a favorite for a long time and even if it gets old and ratty, I wouldn't mind buying another because he loves it so much!

This is a great book for toddlers. My 10 month old loves it - Unlike many touch and feel books, this one has a variety of textures. I also love that it is about bugs. I am sure this will interest her for a while to come. I was worried that she would pull the feathers off of the feathery bug, but so far so good! They are attached very well and she just enjoys rubbing them and has not yet really given them a hard tug. We also purchased How Many Bugs in a Box and she loves that one as well.
