From "FeFe who?" to "GIMME MORE!!",
By S. Noble "Lover of All Things Written and Spoken" (Atlanta, GA United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)

I had the pleasure of meeting FeFe and seeing her perform live here in Atlanta recently. Before the concert, I was like, "FeFe who??" But after meeting her and watching her performance, she is absolutely AMAZING!! She is a multi-talented little 18 year old bundle of absolute energy, stage presence, and charisma. I picked up the CD at the concert, and have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since! It has something for everyone - from the hard-edged rock songs "Stupid Little Love Song" and "Bye Bye Boyfriend", to the absolute FABULOUS appearance of Tone-Loc on "Rock It Till You Drop It", to the meatal-esque anger of "Unforgiven", to the beautiful and sultry sounds of "Revolution Song" and the hidden track "Rainbow", to the pop stylings of "Everything" and "We Went For A Ride" (one of my personal favorites). This CD is absolutely AMAZING, running the whole gammit of genres. And to top it all off, every single one of the 13 songs on this debut CD was co-written by FeFe herself. She is an amazing person with endless potential. This is one newcomer I'd DEFINATELY recommend!!

Fefe, do your thing!,
By Sonja (Aston, PA) - See all my reviews

I just the read the review written by Tanika from Brentwood, NY and I cannot believe the ignorance displayed. Considering myself one of "your people" (FYI- both myself and Ms. Dobson are biracial), you need to get it straight. We can perform in ANY musical genre we desire. How incredibly narrow-minded to say that we "don't do grunge or punk"! Where do you think the roots of rock 'n roll lie? With us, in the southern blues of the 40's and 50's. Your comment is so typical of the misconception that skin color or race has anything to do with music. All that said, Fefe's album is a nice pop/punk piece akin to Avril and I wish her all the luck in this business.

Very, very surprising,
By Tracy (New York) - See all my reviews

Gotta admit ... when I first saw Fefe, I thought, oh no, not another pretentious rocker chick! I couldn't have been more wrong. This is a remarkable debut album; I would categorize it as Rock Lite, but I don't mean that in a disparaging way. Rarely do I buy an album and like all of the songs, but I listened to this all the way through and liked pretty much everything. The first track, Stupid Little Love Song, is probably my least favorite, but I certainly didn't hate it. Fefe tackles some age-specific themes, like absentee dads and messed-up friends, as well as the usual love songs mixed with a little Girl Power. She wisely uses a co-writer for many of the songs on this album, so it escapes the common problem of everything sounding the same, and overall the CD ranges from a fairly driving beat to quite ballady. Rock It Till You Drop It is especially fun ... but then, it does sample Eric Clapton's It's In the Way that You Use It, so I guess that's no surprise. Some great ballads, too -- Julia, 8x10, and the bonus track, #13, a ballad that may or may not be called "I'm No Fool" ... it's not mentioned anywhere on the liner notes. This girl is talented. Hope to see more of her.
