Great Safe Tight Space Cutting Tool,
By A Customer
This review is from: Fein 63502097027 3 1/8-Inch Hard Material Blade for Sheet Metal, Hardwood, Fiberglass, and Carbon Fiber (Tools & Home Improvement)
I was told about this tool by a freind when I needed to do some work on the inside of my sailboat. The tool works on the same principle as an orbital sander, only with this cutting blade attached, it will cut just about anything very safely. I have used this blade to cut fiberglass tabs away from the hull without danger of cutting throught the hull and with very little dust. I have also cut the 3/8 plywood that was fiberglassed to the bulkhead. I just took my time and the adjustable depth stop and did not cut through any deeper than necessary. I also trimmed the ends of Stainless steel screws off that are through bolted through the cabin top. I now carry this tool with me anywhere I have a job to do for cutting or sanding. Well worth the money.

This is the perfect tool for anyone that needs to cut fiberglass. It is indespensable and much more managable than a dremmel or other hand grinder. I use this tool almost daily. The only down side is that this blade is a bit fragile and will break if bent even slightly.

As a building contractor, I have used this blade in my Fein sander for everything from flush-cutting door jambs & casing when installing t&g flooring to cutting back drywall-wrapped window sills when replacing windows. Its thin kerf allows it to do a clean job where other tools can't go. The single blade that came with the sander kit has seen a lot of use but is still sharp.

Item is a special circular hardwood cutting blade for the Fein Multimaster tool. It works "OK" but really only useful for small custom cutting jobs. Blade is brittle and will snap if bent while in operation. Even at half price ($38) its very very expensive for what you get.

Don't use this blade in cold temperatures. I had it shatter around the arbor the first time that I used it. I have not had this experience with their other blades.

While this blade's cut was super accurate, I was disappointed that after only using it one time the inner diameter teeth that connect to the Fein tool crumbled. There's still a few left so it's usable (just have to be careful). And this blade is expensive too.

My wife bought this tool for me from a television ad. I was doubtful about anything from tv but gave it a try. This is absolutely the most valuable tool in my collection as far as usefulness! From tile to laminate floors, repair of a 70 year old door in an historic home that would have otherwise had to have been replaced. Well worth the price tag, but the cost of replacement blades is just not realistic. This tool will probably last for years and be passed down, but please do something about the cost of the blades.

Got the tool as a christmas gift and have found it to be very handy--it can do things no other tool can. It would get 5 stars if the attachments come down in price.
