This system features the FMM 250, a versatile, high-precision specialist tool that's perfect for professional outfitting, renovation, and repair work. Its lightweight, ergonomical design and powerful 250-watt motor with electronic speed control make the FMM 250 ideal for sanding in tight corners. Developed as a result of Fein's 40-year experience with oscillation technology, the FMM 250 boasts 12,000 to 21,000 oscillations per minute and has a 16.4-foot length cord.
Universal E-Cut Blade For Base and Flooring Work
The FMM 250 comes with several high-quality accessories, including one Fein 63502151018 Universal E-Cut Blade that's great for doorjambs, baseboards, baseboards, toe kicks, and flooring work. It's also perfect for wood, plaster, drywall, and synthetic and plastic materials. This blade features a finer tooth pattern for more control and longer blade life, and a flush cut design that allows for completely perpendicular cuts to flooring tight areas.
For tough jobs like lifting linoleum, carpet, adhesive residue, scale, paint, and tape, choose the Fein 63903178017 Rigid Scraper Blade, which can be re-sharpened for longer blade life. Finally, ensure a smooth finish with the aluminum backed Fein 63806129026 Sanding Pad. The hook and loop design allows for grit switching in the middle of a job.
The FMM 250 Start comes with a one-year warranty.

The MultiMaster doesnt rotate or orbit like other power tools. The secret? It oscillates! Oscillation permits you to do extremely fine and delicate work or be more aggressive, depending on the accessory and material. Does just what I wanted it to,

I probably would have given this 4 starts -1 for the ridiculous price but the 2 stars given by the other opinion made me boost mine. This tool DOES include the quick change - there is a different lesser model that does not but this model does. This made quick work of cutting some drywall that would have been a royal PIA to cut with other means given that it was already hung and I needed to cut the drywall all the way into the back corner which would be impossible with almost any other tool - so I'd have had to get it out with a chisel - in my bizarre situation there was also metal corner bead in the inside corner again no problem for this tool and would have been nearly impossible any other way.I also had a job where I needed to cut some base molding that was already up and installed - again piece of cake for this guy very difficult with other tools. Cons - (other than price) it was a bit noisier than I thought it would be - but not bad.

After seeing a Fein presentation a few months ago and loving all but the price we did not buy it. That is until we had the perfect job for it. Thoroughly researched all packages and finally decided to purchase the Start. Used it for a little bit and decided that it was worth returning for the "TOP" package. The "START" does not include the Quick-In feature, plus the "TOP" comes with two more attachments that purchased separately cost $100 or the difference in the two packages. Upgrade, get the nifty Quick-In feature, and two essential attachments. In summary, great tool but I do not recommend the "START" package, hence the 4 instead of 5 stars.

this is a good tool but i sent it back not knowing at the time that this tool does not have the quick release. so i sent it back and order the other one with the quick release.. it is great when you need to cut something that is in close quarters and the sawsall can't get in. the only draw back i see are the blades are costly and don't last long before they start smoking!!
