5.0 out of 5 stars Grade AAA Competition Pistol !!! February 11, 2012
I own this air pistol and use it almost every day. It's extremely well balanced, light, and OMG so accurate!! I can shoot through the hole left by the previous pellet at 50 feet EVERY time! The first time I showed this to my wife, who doesn't shoot/compete as I do, she exclaimed "You're going to shoot your eye out looking at that gauge!" She didn't have a clue what she was talking about, of course, because the gauge is only used when filling the air tank, which is REMOVED FROM THE GUN FRAME AT THAT POINT, and once threaded onto the pistol, does not have to be viewed again. Once I explained that point to her, she still huffed and declared, "Well, don't come running to me when you shoot your eyeball out, because I TOLD YOU SO!!" I just sighed and gave her a peck on the cheek - I mean, what're you gonna do?? PLEASE DO NOT BE PUT OFF FROM THIS PRODUCT DUE TO IGNORANT POSTS PROMPTED BY SOME LIBERAL TECH BLOG'S POST ABOUT FLAWED DESIGN - THIS IS AN EXCELLENT DESIGN, AND THIS GUN IS SO WORTH THE COST, I CAN'T WAIT FOR ITS RIFLE COUNTERPART, SQUIRREL SOUP NE1?? ;^)

5.0 out of 5 stars Precision air pistol February 11, 2012
Hey, i read the Gizmodo article too! [...]
The three one-star reviews were all written right after that article was published. I wonder if those users have actually used this pistol. Fiewnwerkbau has been making precision air pistols and rifles for over 50 years, and they are excellent products. Their pistols and rifles are used in the Olympics.
Many (most) of Fienwerkbau pistols and rifles have the gauge at the end of the air cylinder, near the "business end." I have never had a problem with this placement, and with a bit of training, it shouldn't be a problem for you either. As it is a single shot pistol, once you have fired, it is fairly safe to reload.

This is an excellent air pistol. It is fairly light, which makes training with it comfortable. I find it stable and accurate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feinwerkbau Pistols January 4, 2013
It really cracks me up about the idiots that complain of the pressure gauge being under the muzzle of the barrel. Apparently they have no experience with firearms whatsoever. Ok, morons, how do you clean revolvers? How do you clean lever action rifles or air guns? By being in front of the muzzle. Anyone that says this is a lame design has no clue. FWB makes the best air rifles and pistols in the world.
